Dima Hasao Adventure Association Successfully Concludes Three-Day Adventure Training Camp at Maibang
The Dima Hasao Adventure Association successfully concluded a three-day adventure training camp held at Maibang from the 18th to the 20th of April, 2025. A total of 17 enthusiastic participants took part in the program, which featured a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experiences.
The primary objective of the training was to raise awareness and provide hands-on exposure to various adventure sports and tourism opportunities, emphasizing their vast potential in the picturesque region of Dima Hasao. The sessions focused on essential adventure activities such as rappelling and rope techniques, aiming to equip participants with both foundational knowledge and practical skills.
The training program commenced with engaging sessions on these activities and culminated on the third day with a guided visit to nearby tourist attractions, including the serene Hajong Tortoise Lake and the culturally significant Dimasa Heritage Museum.
The program was graciously supported by the Maibang Tourism Committee and was powered by the Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, whose contributions were instrumental in the smooth ex*****on of the event.
The closing ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Joshringdao Phonglo, Chairman of Dima Hasao Tourism, and Shri Biswajyoti Hojai, Vice Chairman of Dima Hasao Tourism, both of whom lauded the initiative and encouraged greater youth participation in the domains of adventure tourism and cultural preservation.
This successful event marked a meaningful stride toward nurturing a vibrant culture of adventure sports and sustainable tourism development in Dima Hasao.
