The Monsoon Waterfall Hike to Paderu, organised as part of ’s outdoor experiential programs, turned out to be a refreshing journey into the heart of nature. The day began with a scenic bus ride through winding roads and misty landscapes, where some participants even chose to sit atop the bus, soaking in the breathtaking views.
Upon reaching the hilltop, the group was welcomed with a warm, delicious meal prepared by the local community — a simple yet soulful experience that brought comfort and connection before the adventure ahead.
Energised and content, the participants then set off on a guided trek in search of waterfalls, led by WildEd’s experienced nature educator . The trail offered a true sense of freedom — the kind that emerges when one is immersed in untouched wilderness. Every leaf, stone, and stream became a learning moment, where curiosity thrived and questions were welcomed.
The trek was conducted with utmost attention to safety and well-being. All participants were briefed beforehand, the trails were carefully assessed, and our educators ensured everyone felt secure, supported, and encouraged throughout the journey. Whether it was navigating slippery paths or pausing to observe a rare plant, safety and care were at the heart of the experience.
There was no fear in exploring, no hesitation in being vulnerable amidst the wild. Instead, the trek became a safe space for wonder, learning, and connection — with nature, with others, and with oneself.
Through each step and splash, the journey quietly widened the way we look at the world, leaving behind not just wet clothes and tired legs, but also lasting memories of joy, discovery, and quiet awe.
As the magic of this monsoon trek continues to ripple through our hearts, WildEd is excited to announce two more treks coming up next month — each offering a new chance to experience the wild, connect deeply, and learn beyond walls. Stay tuned for dates and details!🌱
