Apatani Woman Clears JECRE 2025 on Merit, Inspires Differently-Abled Community Across Arunachal

Ziro: In a proud moment for the Apatani community and Lower Subansiri district, Ms. Mudang Yabyang from Mudang Tage Village has successfully cleared the JECRE 2025 examination on a merit basis and has been allotted the Power Department.

Daughter of Late Mudang Tayo and Mudang Dumi, Mudang Yabyang has long been known for her relentless fight for the rights of differently-abled people in Arunachal Pradesh. For years, she has been advocating for proper disability reservation in government services, stating that the reservation system earlier existed only on paper and was not implemented practically.

Through continuous struggle, awareness, and dedication, she played a significant role in raising the issue of equal opportunities and reservation rights for persons with disabilities in the state. Her success in the JECRE 2025 examination now stands as an inspiration and symbol of hope for the differently-abled community across Arunachal Pradesh.

Speaking through her journey and achievements, she encouraged all differently-abled people to continue fighting for their rights and never lose hope, adding that hard work and determination always bring results in the end.

Her achievement has brought immense pride to the Apatani tribe and serves as a motivating example for the younger generation.

Eligible urban dwellers of Ziro township can now apply for the 4th Phase of Beneficiary Led Individual House construction (BLC) under PMAY-HFA URBAN.
• 📅 Get your forms: May 13 – May 19, 2026.
• 📅 Submit & Verify: May 19 – May 23, 2026.
• 📍 Location: Camp Office, Hapoli (10 AM – 4 PM).

Ziro celebrated the Somnath Swabhimaan Parv today at the Shree Siddheshwar Nath Shiva Lingam, Kardo, in a program organized by the District Administration and the Department of Art & Culture. The event was graced by Chief Guest Dasanglu Pul, Guest of Honour Jarken Gamlin, and Special Guest Hibu Dumi. Highlights included a ceremonial Darshan, spiritual discourses, and a 'Shiv Tandav' performance by Amit Mukherjee, alongside a live screening of the national celebrations from Gujarat featuring the Prime Minister.
