Shanidar Cave in Kurdistan!
Deep in the mountains of Barzan lies Shanidar Cave, one of the most important prehistoric sites in the world. This is where the remains of Neanderthals from over 50,000 years ago were discovered changing how we understand human history.
The cave showed that even Neanderthals had burial rituals and cared for each other, proving they were more advanced than once believed.
