A Journey Conducted Amidst Extraordinary Weather

Today, as the Barri Group—affiliated with the Barri Organization for Ecotourism and Mountaineering—we organized a special expedition to one of the peaks of Mount Spi. Amidst snow, rain, sleet, and dense fog, it was a landscape where one could truly renew their senses and emotions.

It is worth noting that this was a specialized trek within a magical, beautiful, and fantasy-like natural setting. The winter chill, the exhaustion, and the ruggedness of the path were all forgotten once we found refuge inside a peaceful cave, basking in the warmth of glowing red embers and a pleasant fire.

Praise be to God, our journey concluded successfully. Please note that participation was limited to a specific number of members.

The Berî Group carried out its second trip to Galiê Rê for the year 2025.

The Berî Group for Mountaineering (Environmental Tourism and Mountaineering Organization), on January 19, launched its first winter trip to Galiê Rê, which is considered the second trip of 2025.
This trip was carried out in the form of climbing and hiking, which are among the main types of mountaineering activities.

This area is considered one of the most beautiful natural landscapes within Spî Mountain, rich in special wild trees such as oak and mazî, along with many steep slopes, high rocks, and fascinating geological formations.

Our trip started early in the morning, and we returned home late in the evening. The distance covered to reach the destination was approximately 6 kilometers.

The number of participating members was 16 people. Thanks be to God, the trip was completed successfully.

Barri Camping Night at Çemke Delal

On December 5, Barri Organization for Eco-Tourism and Mountaineering held a camping night in Çemke Delal, near the Khabur River. The cold, fresh air and the quiet sound of the water made the night truly special. We enjoyed the campfire, shared stories, and created wonderful memories together.

Çemke Delal is located 20 km east of Zakho, known for its peaceful nature and beautiful scenery. According to many stories and sources, Isse Delal is believed to have originally lived in this village, adding cultural and historical value to the area.
