Iceland Fishing Guide

Iceland Fishing Guide We are a travel agency that specializes in fishing holidays in Iceland.

We at Iceland Fishing Guide offer you a chance to make use of the local knowledge acquired by fishing in the area for a long time ensuring that you make the most of your time to fish in Iceland. Our focus is mostly on fishing North and East Iceland and the reasons for that are simple. In North and East Iceland the country is not as densely populated as in the south giving you a chance to fish rive

rs with a much lower fishing pressure than the rivers in South and South West Iceland. About 220.000 people of the 300.000 Icelanders live in the greater Reykjavík area and the surrounding towns making it by far the most densely populated are in Iceland. It is a given that the most populated place in Iceland offers rivers that have more fishing pressure than the once further from the area. However there are some people that have a limited amount of time for a trip so in those cases we do our best to find great options close to Reykjavík.

We can't wait to start casting and be among the first to present a fly to these fish when they haven't seen a single fly or a any signs of humans in over 6 months.

We still have open spots this spring, feel free to reach out to us if you'd like to join us on a spring fishing adventure for Arctic char, sea run and resident brown trout!

What's better than 1 Atlantic salmon? Two Atlantic salmon of course! Rob Giannino on the left and on the right side. Shortly after Rob hooked this beautiful autumn coloured male, they wanted to see if they could make it happen, i mean how sick would a double Atlantic salmon hookup be? as if it isn't hard enough to hook and land one of them... It only took a few casts until Daniel had a fish on... What an incredible day on the river!

Happy new year!
We hope you had a wonderful time during the holidays, filled with joy, relaxation, and maybe even a little time by the water!

Though the rivers in Iceland may be frozen at the moment, the urge to fish never fades! Ice fishing is the perfect way to shorten the winter while we eagerly await spring. There’s something magical about being on a frozen lake, enjoying the crisp air, and listening to the complete silence while you wait for the next fish pull your line.

If you're in Iceland or plan on visiting this winter, feel free to send us a DM for more information on a guided Ice fishing tour in Northern Iceland!
