In Iceland we invite you to join us for a grand adventure of first descents, skiing all the way down to the ocean. Arctic Heli Skiing is operated by Bergmenn Mountain Guides on the Troll Peninsula in Northern Iceland. After operating ski touring and ski mountaineering trips on the Troll Peninsula for the past 20 years we have now extended our program to Heli Skiing. The potential for world class d

own hill skiing is mind blowing with thousands of slopes and peaks waiting for their first descent with vertical descents of up to 1500m or almost 5000ft. Our vast terrain covers more than 4000 square kilometers, or 1500 square miles of breathtaking Arctic mountains with terrain that suits every skiers ability be it extreme couloirs or wide open glaciers. Our position just below the Arctic Circle with the mountains rising straight out of the sea allows for a skiing experience of a lifetime, skiing all the way down to the ocean basking in the rays of the Midnight Sun. This can give the concept of night skiing a whole new meaning. Check out our Media section for great photos, videos and articles on skiing in Iceland. Our season starts late March but lasts with generally excellent corn skiing and the occasional powder dump well into June. The fact that the Troll Peninsula is surrounded by the Arctic Ocean makes for incredible opportunities for skiing right down to the ocean on stable coastal snowpack but also adds the excitement of Arctic weather and conditions. Throw in a mix of volcanic activity, hot springs, lava fields and a unique culture and you will find that Iceland is a true adventure skiing destination. The fact that Iceland is only a few hours flight away from all major cities on both sides of the Atlantic gives you an opportunity for a quick heli ski get away with no jet lag and the minimum of precious days off.

Who else is counting down the days until heli-ski season? 🇮🇸

For us, it starts in late February / March. That’s when we’re back in the mountains, chasing powder and skiing summit-to-sea lines across Iceland’s Tröllaskagi Peninsula.

We can’t wait to do it all again and show you why so many skiers keep coming back, season after season.

Comment “Ski Iceland” and we’ll send you the details for our 2027 programs.

Seven days of heli-skiing in East Greenland. It’s one of the most unique ski trips you can take.

And judging by how quickly 2027 is filling up, quite a few of you like the sound of it.

Our Greenland season runs from March through May, and most 2027 departures are already on waitlist, with limited availability remaining on selected weeks.

If Greenland is on your list for 2027, now is the time to start planning.

Comment “Ski Greenland” and we’ll send you the program details. 🇬🇱

There’s something about early-season light in Iceland.

March brings soft winter light, long days in the mountains and the chance to draw fresh lines through cold Arctic powder.

It’s a different side of heli-skiing in Iceland, before spring conditions and the midnight sun take over later in the season.

If powder is what you came for, March is where our season begins. 🇮🇸

Just by looking at these images from Kevin, you can tell Greenland is a spectacular place to ski.

Remote mountains rising straight above frozen fjords, icebergs drifting below and an incredible amount of terrain stretching as far as you can see.

There are very few places where heli-skiing feels this wild and remote. And that’s exactly what makes Greenland so special.

Our 2027 programs are nearly full, but the waitlist is now open.

What conditions can you expect heli-skiing in Iceland?

That’s one of the questions we get asked most, and the answer isn’t always as simple as picking a month.

Earlier in the season, we’re generally chasing colder snow and powder. As spring progresses, longer days and warmer temperatures bring more opportunities for corn.

But Iceland likes to keep us guessing.

Some spring days deliver perfect corn. Others surprise us with fresh powder when we least expect it. Like this bluebird day from last season.

Rather than chasing one specific type of snow, our guides work with what the mountains give us each day to find the best skiing available.

Powder or corn, we’ll happily take both. 🇮🇸

Want to experience it in 2027? 👇

There’s something slightly surreal about skiing at midnight with the sun still hanging above the horizon.

By late spring in Iceland, the days barely end. When conditions line up, that means long evenings in the mountains, soft corn snow and the possibility of skiing well into the night.

And this is where we come in.

We operate from the Tröllaskagi Peninsula in North Iceland, giving small groups of skiers and riders access to vast Arctic terrain stretching from high alpine peaks toward the fjords.

Our guides shape each day around the group and the conditions, whether that means chasing spring corn, exploring new terrain or making the most of those long evenings under the midnight sun.

If heli-skiing in Iceland has been somewhere on your list, our 2027 programs are now booking.
