As winter slowly intensifies here in Iceland, we are already thinking about those beautiful June chrome rockets. Less than half a year to go until our guests will hook into the first fish of the season.

Autumn vibes from Þverá/Kjarrá.
This male measured 101 cm, making it the largest salmon of the season so far. Let's keep it up, there are more of that caliber!

This morning Þverá/Kjarrá delivered the 2000th fish of the season. Angler Kristján Björn Þórðarson with a beautiful hen fish that fell for a collie dog size 14. - well done. With fantastic water levels and many more days to go, we are excited about the rest of the season. It has been a blast so far.

Magical week on the Þverá/Kjarrá as it retains the top spot amongst Iceland's salmon rivers with 1327 fish caught. Rainy and high water conditions brought 265 fish for our groups and fresh runs are still pouring in. Fun times! 🐟

Happy times on Blanda beat IV🔥Fish have been running the Blanda in numbers these past days and fishermen on Beat IV have already caught 10 fish in 1.5 days 🐟

We are experiencing fantastic fishing in Þverá and Kjarrá with 318 salmon landed last week alone. As it stands the river has the most catches out of any river in Iceland with almost 900 salmon caught already. Fun times!

Happy faces on the Víðidalsá after we managed to trick this beautiful fish with a micro hitch. Bright sunshine never makes it easy, but if you are quiet and fish small flies, you might be rewarded.
