A few bird photos taken by Corey Leamy during one of our birding tours in the Roman countryside.

Our trips aren’t just about long birdwatching checklists: they also have photographic targets, so you can head home with great shots too!

In these last days of spring, we’ve guided several tours through the Italian countryside and hills.
Under warm sunshine and blessed with perfect weather, we observed the final migratory birds arriving and many active nesting sites.
Sharing these moments with curious and passionate travelers makes every tour even more meaningful.

Hidden inside an ancient olive tree, in the heart of the stunning Tuscan countryside, little Great Tit chicks are growing safely 🐣

Looks like this old olive tree just got promoted to “luxury countryside nursery” 🌳

We love working with clients who are willing to brave even late-season snowfalls just to enjoy the scenery and birdlife of the Dolomites.
That’s exactly what happened with this intrepid couple of birders from California.
The views and the species they spotted more than made up for the effort and inconvenience they endured.

Some highlights of our latest two day tour in the green heart of Italy, Umbria.

Along with our two guests from Canada, we explored different habitats such as wetlands, hills, mountains and crystal clear rivers allowing us to reach almost 100 species!

The magic of spring showed us some amazing species! Can you name some of them?

A new collaboration has officially begun with S-Cape Travel and Victor Emanuel Nature Tours, two leading names in international nature travel, bringing high-quality birdwatching experiences to some of Italy’s most spectacular landscapes 🌍

Right now, our journey is already underway across the stunning regions of Puglia and Matera, where participants are exploring a rich mosaic of habitats -from coastal wetlands to ancient rocky ravines- and encountering an incredible diversity of birdlife 🦆

Beyond nature, the tour has also highlighted the remarkable historical and artistic heritage that these regions proudly preserve, creating a well-rounded and immersive experience 🏛️

Stay tuned for more updates, sightings, and stories from the field!

During our last birding tour we explored Rome, surrounded by birds and by the colours of the spring.

With more than 50 species spotted in half a day, we enjoyed many different landscapes, from the city center to the countryside, finishing our trip on the Mediterranean sea.

Our highlights include night crowned herons, northern wheatear, whinchat, and many more!

Come to enjoy Italian birds and spring with us!

Thanks to Corey Leamy for the photos and for choosing us.

Our recent day tour in the stunning Tuscan countryside near Siena was truly unforgettable!
Among cypress trees, hilltop towns, and beautiful wheat fields, we enjoyed a perfect mix of scenery and birdlife. 🌳

Highlights of the day included sightings of Woodchat Shrike, Eurasian Hoopoe, and a magnificent (as well as totally unexpected!) Common Rock Thrush that made the experience even more special! 😀

Spring in Italy is simply magical: if you’re thinking about your next nature escape, this is the season you don’t want to miss! 🐦‍⬛

Thank you Rose Van Der Zwan for the wonderful pictures.
