Few peaks in the Bergamo Alps are as instantly recognisable as the Becco di Dossena — a dramatic rocky summit rising to 2,572 metres above the Brembana Valley. ⛰

Its name, "becco" (beak in Italian), comes from its distinctive pointed shape, visible from much of the valley below. For centuries it served as a natural landmark for the mountain communities of Val Brembana, guiding shepherds and traders through the alpine passes.
Today it's one of the most rewarding hikes in the Bergamo area — accessible from the village of Dossena and offering panoramic views that stretch from the Orobie Alps all the way to the Po Plain on a clear day. 🥾
