Il tempo ha il profumo del mosto e il calore di una stretta di mano.
​Oggi a Gela, svoltando l’angolo di un vicolo che porta il suo nome, ho incontrato l’anima autentica di questa terra: il Signor Carmelo Duchetta. Entrare nella sua rivendita significa varcare una soglia temporale. Carmelo è nato esattamente qui, tra queste mura che un tempo appartenevano a suo bisnonno, in una casa che respira storia da oltre un secolo.
​Osservate queste botti. Custodiscono molto più del vino; conservano segreti tramandati per generazioni, fatiche nobili e l’orgoglio di una famiglia che ha reso questo vicolo parte della propria identità. Incontrare persone come Carmelo è il vero tesoro di ogni viaggio. Sono loro a ricordarci che le radici sono ciò che ci permette di fiorire, che la lentezza è un valore e che ogni sorso di vino racconta una vita intera.

​Today in Gela, turning the corner of an alley that bears his name, I met the authentic soul of this land: Mr. Carmelo Duchetta. Stepping into his wine shop feels like crossing a threshold into the past. Carmelo was born right here, within these walls that once belonged to his great-grandfather, in a home that has breathed history for over a century.
​Look at these barrels. They hold much more than wine; they preserve secrets passed down through generations, noble toil, and the pride of a family that made this alley part of its very identity. Meeting people like Carmelo is the true treasure of any journey. They remind us that roots are what allow us to flourish, that slowness is a virtue, and that every sip of wine tells a whole lifetime.

Mentre la primavera esplode intorno a noi, le strade dei nostri borghi si animano con processioni millenarie e l'aria si riempie di un'energia incredibile.
È una fusione unica tra sacro e profano, un viaggio indietro nel tempo che tocca l'anima.
​Ma Pasqua in Sicilia vuol dire anche... tradizione a tavola! Agnellini di pasta reale, piccoli capolavori di artigianato e dolcezza, simbolo di questa festa e della nostra incredibile maestria pasticcera. E che dire delle "Cuddura cu l’ova" o della classica cassata? E tanto altro! Pasqua in Sicilia è davvero un'esplosione di sapori, colori, tradizioni, gente che ti sorride per strada!
