Paros My home

Paros My home I' m Cristina the heart 🩵 behind Paros My home. I also share lovely homes and studios for rent to experience Paros like a true local. 🌊💙

Here you’ll discover the real spirit of the island🏝: its traditions, local life, hidden gems, and upcoming events. I visited Paros in 2010 the first time and the great love was born. I love each street, the white around the stones, each pebble, each flower that decorate doors, windows and streets. I love love white and blue, I love the island's colors, I love each church, I love all of Paros. The

meeting with my greek family and with my Pariani friends made each spot special to my eyes. I love them because they are so hospital, so generous and so friendly. I love greek mood: filoxenia.

Pottery workshop
A perfectly organized pottery workshop of the Hellenistic period (3rd-2nd c. BC) has been discovered at the Tholos site. It comprises six kilns of various types and sizes, two tanks for the preparation of clay and ancillary spaces. The main kiln is stone built with a diameter of 2.5 m and a height of 3 m. Remains from earlier phases have been also detected, such as thee graves of the Geometric period (8th c. BC) and a room that belonged to a house of the 5th c. BC, which had a pebbly floor and was reused in the Hellenistic workshop. The complex occupied a larger area, as ancient remains were found underneath the public road and to a nearby property. To date, it is the only pottery workshop surviving to such an extent in the Cyclades and perfectly illustrates coexistence of ancient and modern structures.
