Magnific Cilento Logbook – Day 5📔

What a magnificent day! Our last day of the tour gave us breathtaking views of Mount Vesuvius, a visit to an ancient vineyard nestled in a landscape of rolling hills and splendid vegetation, and the most wonderful welcome at an authentic winery chosen by Roscioli. The flavors and hospitality there gave us an emotion we’ll carry in our hearts.

The afternoon was dedicated to the Amalfi Coast with its beautiful views. Before heading to the beach and shopping, we said goodbye to our great driver, Raffaele. A typical Amalfitan dinner allowed us to discover the delicious flavors of seafood cuisine. We truly experienced a genuine, unforgettable Art and Wine Experience, personally living the beauty of the region with its authenticity, hospitality, history, and tradition. Cilento will remain not only in our memories but also in our hearts.

Magnific Cilento Logbook – Day 5📔

Today, we left our resort and its wonderful gardens to move to the Amalfi Coast. We stopped to visit the key sites of the American landing during Operation Avalanche in 1943. The day was both emotional and informative, with pleasant breaks to enjoy limoncello spritz, various types of tasty pizzas, and admire the colorful and cheerful ceramics of Vietri sul Mare. From our hotel here, we now have a splendid view of the Gulf of Salerno

Magnific Cilento Logbook – Day 4📔

After a delicious breakfast featuring the chef’s excellent cakes, we headed to the archaeological site of Velia. It’s truly immersed in nature, surrounded by myrtle blossoms, mulberry trees, olive groves, thistles, and broom, all dominated by the medieval tower.Today, our program was dedicated to the Mediterranean Diet, recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. And of course, we savored it at the table, even delighting in some authentic elderflower gelato!We truly appreciated the flavors, sustainability, and tradition connected with the Cilento Bio-District. A visit to the Eco-Museum dedicated to the Mediterranean Diet and the studies of Ancel Keys was a must before we continued to the charming town of Agropoli, with its slow and relaxed pace. We concluded our day with a sunset aperitivo facing the temples, and Cilento gifted us one of its magnificent sunsets.

Magnific Cilento Logbook – Day 3 📔

This day, too, was filled with fun and excitement! We spent the morning with Chef Mario Stellato, who organized a fantastic cooking class on Cilentan specialties, followed by a special lunch based on local cuisine. In the afternoon, our local guide Maria led us on a walk through the villages of Castellabate Santa Maria before ending the evening in a magical place steeped in myth and beauty – the realm of the noble Cilento White Fig. The history, a fig-based dinner, and a wonderful sunset made this day truly unforgettable

Magnific Cilento Logbook – Day 2 📔

The second day of our Magnificent Cilento adventure showcased two incredible local treasures: the renowned buffalo mozzarella production and the spectacular UNESCO archaeological site of Paestum. With a clear blue sky and the lush blossoms of the fertile Cilentan land as our backdrop, it was a truly splendid day. We rounded it off with an excellent wine and local product tasting before heading back to our little corner of paradise, always with our now inseparable bear, Luca, by our side. We’re all set for tomorrow’s new adventure

Magnific Cilento Logbook – Day 1 📔

Our Lilipans Roscioli Magnificent Cilento tour began today with a delightful small group, including a rather charming and unusual participant: Luca the bear! After a short train ride, we explored the beautiful “viti maritate” (married vines) and learned about the production of the famous Asprino d’Aversa wine. We then savored some delicious local products before heading to our resort for some well-deserved relaxation, ready for our new adventure tomorrow

Charming Puglia Logbook - Day 8 📔
This morning we explored the imposing Castel del Monte, a UNESCO site and masterpiece of Frederick II of Swabia. We discovered his enlightened vision, reflected in the mathematical and symbolic harmony of the castle. 🏰✨

After a tasty lunch, we returned to Trani, where we said goodbye to our super driver Nicola, who accompanied us throughout the tour. 🚐💛

The afternoon was devoted to final shopping, strolling around the old town and relaxing in the sun-kissed alleyways. 🌞🛍️
The day ended with a farewell dinner, amidst toasts, smiles and shared stories. Tomorrow we return home, but Puglia will stay with us. 🥂🇮🇹 💖

Charming Puglia Logbook - Day 7 📔

This morning the sun accompanied us along an enchanting landscape: the salt pans of Margherita di Savoia, with their pink waters, elegant flamingos and yellow ferula plants dotting the landscape. 🌞🦩🌾

We then reached the D’Araprì winery, a gem chosen by Roscioli, for a fine tasting of sparkling wines accompanied by a delicious lunch. 🥂✨
In the afternoon we returned to Trani, where we enjoyed some free time between shopping, strolling through the alleyways and the evocative Good Friday processions, which made the atmosphere even more special. ⛪🕯️

Charming Puglia Logbook - Day 6 📔

We left Polignano and head to Matera. 🏞️where with our super guide Ingo, we experienced the last visit of the tour with him, exploring the evocative Sassi, a UNESCO World Heritage site, carved into the rock and very evocative⛏️✨

In the afternoon, we had fun at the Chiaromonte wine shop, amidst laughter, glasses of spectacular wines and an enthralling cooking experience: we cooked the legendary spaghetti all’assassina! 🍝🔥🍷
The day ended with our arrival in Trani, where we checked into the elegant Palazzo Filisio, a stone’s throw from the sea and the beautiful cathedral. 🌊⛪

Charming Puglia Logbook - Day 5 📔

Today was a day full of tastings! 😋
We started with a tour of flavours in Martina Franca, tasting Capocollo, pancetta, salami, a selection of local cheeses, and finally an intense tasting of extra virgin olive oil in a historic farm that has been active since 1917. 🧀🥓🫒

In the afternoon, with our guide Ingo, we strolled through the elegant Baroque streets of Martina Franca, discovering corners rich in history and charm. 🏛️✨
Next, we got our hands in the pasta with a cooking class of Apulian orecchiette pasta, followed by a typical local dinner prepared with traditional flavours. 🍝🍷
A true journey into the flavours of Puglia!
