Italy is a country that is both flexible with rules but not flexible with traditions. But sometimes rules are traditions and vice versa. Anyhow, it’s weird to me—an observant American Italophile—that the idea of two moms is still a big deal in Italy. I know the US has a long way to go (and has even gone backward), but I feel like we went through this 30 years ago. 🤷🏼‍♀️
