Walking through the streets, seeing the landscapes they once knew and imagining the moment they day goodbye tò their homeland to emigrate to Canada..It was deeply moving!❤️

There are moments on a genealogy journey that cannot be found in any archive or family tree.

They happen when a name on an old document suddenly becomes a real person.

When a place becomes a street you can walk down.

When a distant relative becomes a new friend.

There are places we may leave behind, but that never truly leave us.

In Ascoli Piceno, a special gathering brought together descendants of families who, more than a century ago, left a small town in the Marche and crossed the ocean to begin a new life in America.

What began more than 100 years ago has never been forgotten.

The generations have changed, the distance has remained, but the bond has endured. 🇮🇹 🇺🇸

And perhaps that is what coming home really means: finding a little piece of yourself in the place where your story began. ❤️

From the hills of the Marche to America and back again — the journey continues, generation after generation.

There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing family history come alive and bring generations together. ❤️🇮🇹

I received this wonderful email and photos from a client whose family history I had the privilege of helping uncover.

“Yesterday we had a family get-together and I showed my family the family tree and many photos of the family before them. There was a lot of interest and questions, and I hope I have instilled an interest in the 20-year-olds as well as the 40–50-year-olds.

🇺🇸 🇮🇹 🫂 No words can truly express the joy and satisfaction of reconnecting this beautiful family.

It all started with a diary filled with a mother’s memories, photos of a trip, and the strong desire to find those people again… along with an old story about a farm in Le Marche.

It was a long and challenging genealogical research that lasted several months, but in the end the results were incredibly rewarding. Eugene’s eyes showed all his gratitude as he finally returned to his Italian roots.

The reunion with his long-lost Italian family was deeply emotional. He was welcomed with love, warmth, and pure joy.

This is an Italian emigration story deeply connected to the local history of our region and in particular of the city of Fano — a story worth telling because it keeps alive the spirit and memory of a farming community and its people.

We will share the full story of this incredible community in the next few days… we are still recovering from the joy and emotions of such a special reunion ❤️

We close this journey with the most emotional story of all!
In the final episode of "Le Marche through their eyes", we travel to Arquata del Tronto, a town deeply marked by the 2016 earthquake, but rich in strength, memory, and hope.💚

Through the eyes of Dominick, an Italo-American with strong Italian roots, we discover a powerful story of return. A return to the land of his ancestors, to a place that has suffered, yet continues to rebuild with dignity and courage.

This episode is not just about a destination, but about identity, belonging, and love for a region that leaves a mark on everyone who truly sees it.

Ten video interviews, more than fifteen foreigners in love with Le Marche — and we end this year with a story that speaks straight to the heart.
