I hear this one a lot from couples planning a destination wedding in Puglia.

And yes — a venue coordinator can be incredibly helpful.

But their role and a destination wedding planner’s role aren’t necessarily the same.

A venue coordinator is focused on the venue and what happens there.

A wedding planner looks at the whole wedding:

🌿 your vision
📋 your timeline
🤝 your suppliers
✈️ your guests travelling from abroad
💍 what happens before, during and after the wedding day

If you’re planning your wedding in Puglia from abroad, knowing the difference can save you a lot of confusion later.

If you’re dreaming of a wedding in Puglia, one of the first things I recommend looking at is your venue availability.

Your preferred month, wedding style, guest count and location can all affect your options — especially if you’re planning for a popular season.

And this is one of the reasons I always tell couples not to choose a date in isolation.

The date, venue and overall wedding vision need to work together.

There’s something I want every couple planning a destination wedding to hear:

It’s okay to change your mind. 🤍

Even if you’ve already booked something.
Even if you’ve paid a deposit.
Even if you’ve spent months planning it.

Of course, changing your mind can have consequences — contracts, cancellation fees, additional costs or availability to consider.

But that doesn’t mean you have to stay with a decision that no longer feels like you just because you’re afraid to change it.

Take a step back. Look at your options. Understand the consequences. Then make the decision that feels right for your wedding.

Because your wedding doesn’t have to make everyone else happy.

It has to feel like you. 🌿

The honest answer: it depends entirely on your priorities, your guest count, and what matters most to you. There’s no single number that fits every wedding. 🌿

You visit the venue, fall in love with it, sign the contract — and in that moment, everything the venue tells you about what’s included sounds perfect. But weeks later? You can’t remember half of it, and now you’re not sure what you actually agreed to.
This happens to almost every couple planning a wedding in Puglia. “All-inclusive” sounds simple until you’re staring at a contract trying to recall what was said during the tour.
