🇮🇹 Dentro la Grotta Azzurra c’è una stalagmite chiamata “il Delfino”, per la sua forma che ricorda la testa di un delfino che emerge dall’acqua.
Questo lo sanno in molti.
Ma quello che pochi sanno è chi le diede questo nome.
Un celebre poeta italiano la vide, ne rimase folgorato e la rinominò così in una delle sue opere.
Da quel momento, dentro la grotta, ogni torcia che la illumina sembra darle vita.
Chi era il poeta e quale fu l’opera non lo trovi su nessuna guida e non te lo sapranno raccontare su nessuna barca.

🇬🇧 Inside the Blue Grotto there’s a stalagmite called “the Dolphin,” named after its shape that resembles a dolphin’s head emerging from the water.
Many people know this.
But what very few know is who gave it that name.
A famous Italian poet once saw it, was struck by its shape, and renamed it in one of his works.
Since then, inside the grotto, every torchlight seems to bring it to life.
