🐑🌿 Unsere Schafe sind gut auf den saftigen Sommerweiden im Ötztal angekommen. Letztes Wochenende haben die vierbeinigen Wollknäuel den langen Weg über den Alpenhauptkamm zurückgelegt und genießen nun eine gute Zeit auf der Niedertal und der Rofenberg Alm. ☀️⛰️

🐑🌿 Le nostre pecore sono arrivate sane e salve ai rigogliosi pascoli estivi dell’Ötztal. Lo scorso fine settimana i soffici amici a quattro zampe hanno attraversato la cresta principale delle Alpi e ora si godono una splendida estate sugli alpeggi Niedertal e Rofenberg. ☀️⛰️

🐑🌿 Our sheep have safely arrived at the lush summer pastures in the Ötztal Valley. Last weekend, the woolly four-legged travelers crossed the main Alpine ridge and are now enjoying their summer on the Niedertal and Rofenberg mountain pastures. ☀️⛰️

🍞Das Vinschger Paarl
Das Vinschger Paarl gehört zu den charakteristischsten Brotsorten des Alpenraums. Die ersten urkundlichen Erwähnungen reichen bis ins 13. Jahrhundert zurück.📜 Hergestellt aus Roggenmehl, erkennt man ihn an seiner typischen Doppel-Laib-Form, verfeinert mit Wildkümmel und Brotklee. Früher wurde er nur zweimal im Jahr gebacken und auf sogenannten Hurten gelagert – speziellen Holzgestellen, die eine lange Haltbarkeit ermöglichten.🌾 Für Bauern und Hirten war er im Laufe des Jahres eine wertvolle Nahrungsreserve.

Il Vinschger Paarl è uno dei pani più caratteristici dell’area alpina. Le prime attestazioni risalgono al XIII secolo.📜 Preparato con farina di segale, si riconosce per la caratteristica forma a doppia pagnotta, aromatizzata con cumino selvatico e fieno greco azzurro (Brotklee). Un tempo veniva cotto soltanto due volte l’anno e conservato sugli Hurten, appositi scaffali in legno che ne favorivano la lunga conservazione.🌾 Per contadini e pastori rappresentava una risorsa preziosa lungo il corso dell’anno.

🍞The Vinschger Paarl
The Vinschger Paarl is one of the most distinctive breads of the Alpine region. The earliest records of it date back to the 13th century.📜 Made from rye flour, it is easily recognized by its characteristic double-loaf shape, flavored with wild caraway and blue fenugreek (Brotklee). In the past, it was baked only twice a year and stored on Hurten—special wooden racks that helped preserve it for long periods.🌾 For farmers and shepherds, it was a valuable source of nourishment throughout the year.

🏔️ Südtiroler Naturdenkmal Hochmoor Lazaun
Die Gegend liegt oberhalb von Kurzras im Schnalstal, auf etwa 2.400 m Höhe und ist leicht über die Lazaunumlaufbahn oder zu Fuß erreichbar. Zentrum der Hochebene ist die Lazaunhütte, ein beliebter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen Richtung Saldurseen, Bildstöckljoch oder Langgrubtal.

🏔️ Monumento naturale dell’Alto Adige: la torbiera di Lazaun
L’area si trova sopra Maso Corto, in Val Senales, a circa 2.400 m di altitudine ed è facilmente raggiungibile con la cabinovia Lazaun oppure a piedi. Al centro dell’altopiano si trova il Rifugio Lazaun, punto di partenza ideale per escursioni verso i Laghi di Saldur, il Giogo del Convento e la Val di Montechiaro.

The area is located above Maso Corto/Kurzras in Val Senales/Schnalstal, at around 2,400 metres above sea level, and can easily be reached by the Lazaun cable car or on foot. At the centre of the plateau lies the Lazaun Hut, a popular starting point for hikes towards the Saldur Lakes, Bildstöckljoch pass and the Langgrub Valley.

September 1991 entdeckte das Nürnberger Ehepaar Erika und Helmut Simon bei einer Wanderung im Schnalstal eine Mumie im Eis – ohne zu ahnen, dass es sich um einen sensationellen Fund aus der Kupferzeit handelte. Mit „Ötzi“ begann eine der bedeutendsten archäologischen Geschichten unserer Zeit. ⛰️

🧊 35 anni fa una scoperta casuale fece la storia: il 19 settembre 1991, durante un’escursione in Val Senales, la coppia Simon della Germania scoprì una mummia nel ghiaccio – senza immaginare che si trattasse di una sensazionale scoperta dell’età del rame. Con “Ötzi” iniziò una delle più importanti storie archeologiche del nostro tempo. ⛰️

🧊 35 years ago, an accidental discovery made history: on September 19, 1991, during a hike in Val Senales, the German couple Erika and Helmut Simon discovered a mummy in the ice – unaware that they had found a sensational Copper Age discovery. With “Ötzi”, one of the most important archaeological stories of our time began. ⛰️
