🏔️ Südtiroler Naturdenkmal Hochmoor Lazaun
Die Gegend liegt oberhalb von Kurzras im Schnalstal, auf etwa 2.400 m Höhe und ist leicht über die Lazaunumlaufbahn oder zu Fuß erreichbar. Zentrum der Hochebene ist die Lazaunhütte, ein beliebter Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen Richtung Saldurseen, Bildstöckljoch oder Langgrubtal.

L’area si trova sopra Maso Corto, in Val Senales, a circa 2.400 m di altitudine ed è facilmente raggiungibile con la cabinovia Lazaun oppure a piedi. Al centro dell’altopiano si trova il Rifugio Lazaun, punto di partenza ideale per escursioni verso i Laghi di Saldur, il Giogo del Convento e la Val di Montechiaro.

The area is located above Maso Corto/Kurzras in Val Senales/Schnalstal, at around 2,400 metres above sea level, and can easily be reached by the Lazaun cable car or on foot. At the centre of the plateau lies the Lazaun Hut, a popular starting point for hikes towards the Saldur Lakes, Bildstöckljoch pass and the Langgrub Valley.

🧊 Vor 35 Jahren schrieb ein Zufallsfund Geschichte: Am 19. September 1991 entdeckte das Nürnberger Ehepaar Erika und Helmut Simon bei einer Wanderung im Schnalstal eine Mumie im Eis – ohne zu ahnen, dass es sich um einen sensationellen Fund aus der Kupferzeit handelte. Mit „Ötzi“ begann eine der bedeutendsten archäologischen Geschichten unserer Zeit. ⛰️

🧊 35 anni fa una scoperta casuale fece la storia: il 19 settembre 1991, durante un’escursione in Val Senales, la coppia Simon della Germania scoprì una mummia nel ghiaccio – senza immaginare che si trattasse di una sensazionale scoperta dell’età del rame. Con “Ötzi” iniziò una delle più importanti storie archeologiche del nostro tempo. ⛰️
