Going to the Colosseum in Rome? ⚔️ Here’s my first-timer Tips for visiting this historical (but touristy) monument:
• You can purchase your tix With or Without the audio guide (€18 vs €50) - access to the Arena floor is a different ticket. 🎟️
• Your gen admission tix, also grants you access to the Roman Forum-Palatine Archeological Area ***this is a Must Do! and also where I found my favorite scenic view of the city 😉***
• If you are short on time or have a set schedule, buy tix in advance online for the time slot you need. 📱
• Go early in the morning when they open or later in the afternoon, to avoid peak rush crowds (let’s be honest, it’s a tourist spot so Don’t ever expect it to be completely empty). 💆🏻♀️
• You CAN buy tix directly at venue, but I only recommend this if your time is flex! (they sell tix according to time slots)
• Most importantly, try to learn something new on your visit.. you are seeing a piece of history! 💡
