Isola Di Ischia, another Italian jewel !
Do not miss the opportunity to discover the incredible territory of Ischia during the 2023 edition of ANDAR PER CANTINE 2023, an event conceived to rediscover its peasant origins and to enhance the local food (the rabbit in particular) and wine with the typical ""Biancolella"".
Until the 1st of October, tours and guided visits to over 25 wineries and farms opening their doors to the public like treasure chests are being organised.
The big news this year is represented by the Aragonese route including an exclusive visit to the historic private vineyard of the Castello Aragonese and a visit to the first distillery on the island.
Tasteful events are eagerly awaited:

*****the Harvest Dinner, which renews the ancient rite of the harvest dinner among the rows of Tenuta Villa Spadara on Sunday 1 October;

****the aperitif at the Perrazzo Caves on the right bank of the port of Ischia every afternoon;

****the appointment with the award-winning wines of the Antonio Mazzella Cellars, conceived exclusively for the event including a tasting of typical Ischia dishes on 30 September paired with the award-winning wines of the Mazzella Cellars distinguished for heroic viticulture in Campagnano;

**** the appointment at the Wine Cave, inside the Poseidon gardens in Forio;

**** the appointment with the Vigne del Mare, Sunday 1 October aboard the historic sailing ship, La Rondine, departing from the Forio pier.

While talking about food, the 3rd edition of the Coniglio Day is scheduled for September 29th, a day entirely dedicated to the quintessential typical dish of the Ischia harvest proposed by all the wineries included in the day's itineraries.
There is also ample space for trails with six trekking routes with specialized guides who will accompany you along the most evocative paths of the island of Ischia which will culminate with the tastings in the cellar.

So, what are you waiting ?

This season is spectacular to go to Ischia... and it can be easily organised from Rome.

Ask me, you know what ? I may join you and come too, I love Ischia ! "

August 5 from 9 pm in Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore will take place the re-enactment of the Miracle of the Snow, a great artificial snowfall on the city of Rome, in Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore remembering and celebrating the prodigy of the 5 August 358 AD.
😊
In the 4th century, under the pontificate of Pope Liberio, a noble and rich Roman patrician named Giovanni, along with his noble wife, having no children, decided to offer their property for the construction of a church dedicated to the Holy Virgin.🌟😇
Following their wish, they both dreamed about the Madonna in the night between August 4 and 5, 358 AD, pointing the place where the church would arise... And
👌the same happened to the Pope the day after 😁.
All together, they went to the place indicated by the Holy Vergin, on top of the Esquiline Hill, which was found covered with snow right in the middle of summer.
The Pope traced the perimeter of the new church following the snowy soil and built the sacred building thanks the money of the spouses.
The church was called Libertina, while from the people it was also called “ad Nives” (of the Snow).
🌟 Ask me how to find the right spot to see this wonderful event... Certainly from a rooftop ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The spiritual testament of Benedict XVI: "Stand firm in the faith!"
💯
The Vatican press office has published the text of the spiritual testament of Pope Emeritus,
who died on 31 December 2022 at the age of 95.
"If in this late hour of my life I look back at the decades I have traveled, first I see how many reasons I have to thank.
I thank before all other God himself, the dispenser of every good gift,
who gave me life and guided me through various moments of confusion;
always getting up every time I began to slip and giving me the light of his face again and again.
Retrospectively, I see and I understand that even the dark and tiring features of this journey were for my salvation and that in them He guided me well."..
❤️
Funeral this morning 5th January in the St. Peter's Basilica
🌹
RIP🙏

One of the greatest things about Rome is that you don’t necessarily need to enter…somewhere…to fall in love with it and be overwhelmed by its beauty.
As a matter of fact Rome is an 💯open air museum💯 where you can wander for days or even a lifetime and still get to uncover secret corners and beautiful hidden treasures.
While passing by majestic palazzi and beautiful basilicas you can easily find yourself taking a peek into one of the many Roman gardens, where the unexpected awaits to unlock your sight, visually and emotionally.👀 Instead of finding what you were looking for, you will find, and be found by the green soul of the ancient aristocratic villas of the Renaissance and the famed Roman pines, symbol for the locals of history and roots that go back to imperial times.🔙
If you listen carefully you will hear the leaves whisper about singers and poets who dedicated verses to their essence: the pines can be bend but they will never break.
🍂🍃Seasons change, winter and spring 🌼can be a metaphor of the many challenges that each and every one of us has to face, but strolling along the tree-lined avenues of Villa Pamphili or Villa Borghese you will feel a new strength coming from both sky and earth: the pines’ deep🌳 roots and its luxuriant peaks will embrace you and tell you, one more time, that all roads lead to Rome and all Roman roads lead to endless surprises. 👌
