A striking steel cable structure, 227 metres long and a maximum height of 36 metres: this is the Ferriere suspension bridge in San Marcello Piteglio, on the Pistoia Mountains. Inaugurated in 1923, this year it is 100 years old.

Il suggestivo Santuario di Montecastello, Tignale - Brescia ❤️

Il Santuario sorge su uno spuntone di roccia calcarea a strapiombo sul Lago di Garda, con panorami unici e spettacolari, dalle alte cime del Monte Baldo, alla pen*sola di Sirmione.
Costriuto sui ruderi di un antico tempio, in seguito trasformato in castello, custodisce la “Casa Santa“, un tempietto presumibilmente risalente all’ 800 d.C.
L' interno decorato con affreschi di scuola Giottesca, custodisce , tra i numerosi, l’ex voto più grande d’Europa, risalente agli inizi del 1600.
Il Santuario di Montecastello è dedicato alla Madonna della Stella, deve il nome all’apparizione miracolosa di una “Stella” che pose fine ad una sanguinosa battaglia avvenuta a Tignale nel 1200.

Arezzo is a fabulous city of art. Its museums are veritable treasure troves of unique beauty. For instance, in the Museum of Medieval and Modern Art you can admire paintings, majolica and glass objects from the medieval and Renaissance periods. Works by Giorgio Vasari, Spinello Aretino, Luca Signorelli and Andrea della Robbia are perfectly preserved here.
Then, the Archaeological Museum Gaio Cilnio Mecenate keeps in its 26 rooms extraordinary collections of pottery, jewelry from Etruscan and Roman times.
Visit Casa Vasari, where Giorgio Vasari used to live. And in the Basilica of San Francesco, in the Bacci Chapel, you can admire "the Legend of the True Cross", the absolute masterpiece of the Italian Renaissance, painted between 1452 and 1466 by Piero della Francesca.
