🇮🇹 Per il secondo anno, al Castello di San Michele in Teverina abbiamo riportato in vita le nozze di Ottaviano e Virginia Baglioni.
Siamo tornati per un giorno nel 1567: gli abitanti del borgo, insieme ad alcuni visitatori, hanno vestito i panni dei personaggi dell’epoca e preso parte alla celebrazione.
La rievocazione si è aperta con un suggestivo corteo che ha attraversato il borgo fino a raggiungere le porte del castello, dove si è celebrato il matrimonio.
A seguire, una grande festa nella sala delle scuderie del castello, con un menù ispirato alla storia e alle tradizioni del territorio. Un momento di convivialità che ha riunito persone in abiti d’epoca, amici, visitatori e semplici curiosi.
È una tradizione che ci auguriamo di poter portare avanti ancora a lungo e che, anno dopo anno, vorremmo rendere sempre più partecipata.
Ci piacerebbe avervi con noi anche il prossimo anno, per tornare insieme, ancora una volta, nel 1567.
🇬🇧 For the second year, at the Castle of San Michele in Teverina, we brought the wedding of Ottaviano and Virginia Baglioni back to life.
For one day, we travelled back to 1567: the villagers, together with some visitors, dressed in period costumes and took part in the celebration.
�The reenactment began with an evocative procession through the village, leading to the castle gates, where the wedding ceremony took place.
Afterwards, a grand celebration was held in the castle’s former stables, featuring a menu inspired by the history and traditions of the local area. It was a moment of togetherness that brought together people in period costume, friends, visitors, and simply curious guests.
It is a tradition that we hope to continue for many years to come and that, year after year, we would like to make increasingly inclusive and participatory.
We would love to have you with us again next year, so that together we can travel back, once more, to 1567.
