sunlight ☼ underwater || for those who already know me, you probably know that I have this thing with the ocean and the calm that lives underwater.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Before leaving for the Red Sea in Jordan, I finally decided to attend a class of freediving because I was tired of seeing all those incredible pictures of freedivers swimming with lovely animals and discovering hidden gems underwater and thinking “I wish it was me”.

T H I S I S M E ! One lesson has been enough to gain confidence in myself and I was able to dive for the first time reaching this plane, one of the 19 wrecks of the underwater museum of Aqaba (tell you more the next posts)!

I’m so happy to have reached this first step, now it’s time to work, attend the full freediving course and become one of those that made me dreaming till now! ⋒

⊹ B O H E M I A N v i b e s ⊹ Jordan is full of wonderful things, but one of those that I loved the most are the colorful decorations you can find everywhere. Everything reminds of the past and you can breath the authentic relationship Jordanian people have with their traditions..

In particular I loved these spaces with benches covered with their typical pillows, placed as a square. There we could spend the night talking to each other, listening to the wonderful stories of our new local friends, sharing smiles and happiness.

And here I am sharing with you one of my fav 💫 These helped me saving uncountable useless plastic and are also the perfect solution for backpack traveler because are so comfy and don’t actually take up any space in the bag! Go check them and change your impact on our world! 🌎

• THE POWER OF SILENCE 🙏 • In an increasingly loud and stressful world, I love to find some time for myself, sitting in silence and listening to my body and mind. But never before have I found a silence like this.. when living in a city, even if you go to a quiet park, is impossible to find the absolute silence.. there’s the song of birds, the laugh of a child, the sound of the leaves. All beautiful sounds, to be clear, I love the sounds of nature and I use them everyday to relax.. but while you are looking for silence, these sounds can distract you a bit, I always thought that the absolute silence doesn’t exist, that we have to train our mind to create it..

In Jordan, I had to change my mind. Here, in my camp in the middle of the Wadi Rum desert, in early morning when everyone is still asleep, no trees, no leaves, no birds, nothing... for the first time in my life I felt SILENCE. It was me, the sand, the mountains and the warm sunlight touching my face ☀️
~
Once again, traveling surprised me, teaching me something new.. what a wonderful life 🙏
~

• HEARTBREAKING STORY 💔 • In Zimbabwe, more than 200 elephants have died over the last two months due to a lack of water at the country’s main conservation zones in Mana Pools and Hwange National Park.
~
“Residents of Jutshume village, near to Hwange National Park, shared a video of an elephant calf that had fallen into a well last month after desperately searching for water. Residents managed to rescue the calf, which later fled into the wild, but believe its leg was broken in the process.”
~
Conservation experts have warned that the country could lose more elephants to drought if there are not enough rains this season. And are confident the drought is the result of changing weather patterns due to CLIMATE CHANGE.
They are already planning for next year when they will need to support the animals as drought becomes the new normal.
~
They want to dig bore holes and bring in pumps - but with Zimbabwe’s economy on the brink of collapse there is no Government money to help.
~
This is one of many terrible stories about our wildlife, that is paying our price, the price of our development and selfishness.. my mission here? Bring these heartbreaking stories close to you.. make you aware of what is happening to our poor animals in the world, hoping that this will lead you to greater awareness 🙏

I am NOT a winter person❄️ • this is not because I don’t like it as a season, at all, but only because I feel the cold very much and I hate my nose turning red like Rudolph.
~
Every year I book trips to European cities (always in the north because I love north, yes this is a nonsense I know) and than once I’m there I try all the coffee shops because I can’t manage to stay outside for up to half an hour 🙄
~
This is why, my reusable cup is my best friend especially during winter ❄️☕️ I’ll never go anywhere without it because it saves me every time!! How can people survive winter without a hot drink in hand? (no, disposable cups are not an option🤬)
~
This is my , that I bought in my beloved Brighton! I simply love it and since the first day she never leaves me alone! It’s the perfect alternative to disposable because it’s just like them, super light and capacious... but WAY MORE STYLISH and MONEYSAVER.. I cannot count how much money I saved while I was living in UK thanks to the “bring your cup discount” of the coffee shops! 💰🍃 (not sponsored, I just love it)

See this friendship? ⭐️This is the reason why I love traveling so much 🇮🇹🇰🇷

I met this crazy girl in Brighton, while I was doing my 3month internship. She had been living with me for 2 months and I couldn’t ask for a better housemate 🏡
~
I’m Italian, she’s Korean. We are very different but at the same time very similar. We spent hours talking, about her country, about mine (that she’s crazy in love with). I tried to teach her some useful Italian words, and her... no, Korean is too complicated for me, but she chose me my Korean name “시아 Si a” 🙋🏼‍♀️
~
We did a lot of things together, we went exploring around the countryside of Brighton, we tried the #1 afternoon tea (scones are her addiction), we learnt how to cook English recipes, we ate ice cream on her bed. She’s someone I would have never met if I stayed in my comfort zone, in my city.
~
This is the message for you 💌 travel, go out, visit places totally different from yours, meet people, share with them stories and adventures, be open to others, to differences..... you’ll become something new, someone new.. and you’ll become the richest person in the world 🌍
~

There’s a whole universe behind the artificial city light 🌟
~
I’ve always been fascinated by the night sky.. the idea that, thanks to the moon and the stars it will never be completely dark, there will be always light upon us.. I see it as a message from Nature, that she will be always protect us with its warm light, that we are never alone and there is always someone or something watching down for us. ✨
~
The infinite lights of the cities make us forget this, the fact that the sky has colors even during light, is not black as it seems to be. Nature is colors, is life, is everything.
~
This picture was taken two years ago, it was a summer night on Como Lake, I was staying in a lovely farmhouse for the night before going to my windsurf lesson in the morning. At 2 am there was no artificial light, only mountains and the river, everything was shut down, all the animals were asleep.. but it wasn’t dark, there wasn’t silence.. there was the amazing Milky Way, and the stories of the Universe written on the sky..
~
These are the things I remember, these are the things I chase, this is why I love Nature and wildness so much 🌖
~
Make a promise to yourself, take some time to remind yourself that the sky has light during night too.. go out and seek the stars.. You’ll feel better after it! ⭐️

Happy G R A D U A T I O N in G R E E N 🍃🎓 • I finally did it! Finally not because it took long (thankfully), but because it took effort, sacrifices, bad moments but also good ones.. 3 years in which I’ve changed so much!
~
I’ve always been a person who wants to do, to act, tu put into practice.. and this is why dedicate almost all my time to study makes me suffer.. because I would travel every time, I would attend courses all over the world, seminars, volunteer trip to do something.. I know.. when you study you are doing something that will allow you to do even more later.. but I’m NOT a patient person!
~
Every time I have a free time, I use it to attend online corses or do little work so that I can save money and do that trip I wanna do. I’m eager to learn and I’m even more ager to act and make a difference! I’m determined in becoming who I want to become ! 🤞
~
I studied Management&Communication and my dissertation was titled “ : educating in sustainability has never been so social” 🦠 economy is bad for sustainability but it can also be good, and maybe is the only solution we have to change things! Social media and green influencer together can change attitudes even of those who are way far from sustainability, we can help people realize the problem but more important we can teach them HOW TO BE THE SOLUTION! 💪🏻

I am so proud of my thesis because I was able to finally demonstrate with scientific proofs and researches what me, and other amazing people are trying to do! 💚📲

We used to live so differently 🌽
~
Last year I made a road trip in Transylvania, Romania 🇷🇴 we spent only the first night in Bucharest and then me moved all over the countryside.
~
I was shocked to see all that differences between, yes, two world. The crowded and modern capital city, and the small villages just some minutes away. Besides all the castles that brought us in the past, there were the villagers that not only reminded us the past, they were living it!
~
I saw them living in white hoses with thatched roof, working the field with their hands and simple tools, transporting the harvest with horse-drawn carriages, taking care of their own hen-house.
~
I never thought I could see these scenes for real. It wasn’t a scenography, it was real, they live like this for real. And we also used to live like this. A lot of things changed, some for the better obviously, but we lost some values only a slow life like this can give.
~
I think everyone needs to go back, to slow down, to maybe spend a month or so in a farm and learn what it meant to work hard to survive, to eat! I’m looking forward to live such experience, and you? Do you think it would change something in you?

Back to nature w/ 🍃

Nylon yarn, which is currently used to produce most modern pantyhose, is created from an environmentally harmful petroleum-based manufacturing process that is not only bad for the planet, but also produces pantyhose that don’t last.😡
~
When it comes to normal socks cotton or bamboo is fine, but as women we have also other necessities. I wear boots most of the time and I need nylon socks to be comfortable! But I’m well aware that nylon by itself is dangerous for the environment!
~
create their pantyhose from both pre and post-consumer nylon waste. The production process is a lot less harmful to the environment than traditional nylon production. They also have a recycling program and thousands of stockings have been recycled thanks to it.
~
Sustainability is innovation! ♻️

For now I’m just showing you their socks made of 92% recycled materials. But they have a huge range of amazing tights I’ll tell you more about soon! *stay tuned* 💚

Is there a place that remains in your memories because of the calm and relax you felt while you were there? 🤫

I have one, and I bet that just by looking at this picture you can understand why 🏝
~
This is my fav spot of the Playa Manuel Antonio, inside an immense and wonderful national park in Costa Rica. This place is so calm, with a flat and white beach, a clear and blue water, and the jungle right behind the beach with all the monkeys playing on the palms. This is where I took this picture: I was laying under the first line of palms, looking at the sky that had the same colors as the sea, listening to the sound of the waves and the sounds of the forest. Behind me, there was a family of monkeys, a mum with her baby clung onto her, and the daddy, all jumping from one tree to another and doing long conversations. 🐒
~
I loved that place, I was in peace, I was feeling lucky to be in one of the most beautiful place in the world, surrounded by my two favorite things: nature and wildlife. 🍃
~
When I am home and I need to relax, I choose a playlist of nature sounds, I close my eyes and I imagine to be there, a place I know, a place I was lucky enough to visit..
And I feel happy, happy to be a traveler, happy to have people who I can share this experiences with, happy to be who I am. 💛
~
These days I’m feeling very stressed, and I needed to remind myself this beauty and the feelings it gave me!
