South Tyrol’s mild climate and marvelous landscape makes it a perfect destination to explore in spring and summer.

One of our favorite resorts in South Tyrol and in Italy is the stunning Forestis. Forestis is located in a densely wooded area, 1,800 m above sea-level, in a sheltered sunny location on the southern slope of the Plose mountain in the South Tyrolean Alps, directly opposite the impressive massifs of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site. The extraordinary pure Plose spring water, fresh mountain air, many sunny days and mild climate have a favourable effect upon the health and well-being.

The philosophy and architecture of Forestis lives in and with nature and focuses on the importance of time, naturalness, and simplicity.

The breathtaking suites offer an ideal peaceful and luxury refuge surrounded by the beauty of the forests and the mountains.

Not only the suites but also the restaurant offer an extensive view of the surrounding forests and sunsets over the Dolomites. Nature can be experienced here in the room through floor-to-ceiling windows. It is a dream for every nature lovers and also foodies for its rare forest cuisine.

I hope that we have inspired you for your next memorable experience in South Tyrol and we are happy to assist you with best rates on market and special benefits.

Today we post about Hattvika Lodge, one of the best hotels in the Lofoten islands. If you love seeking out unique accommodations that tell you a story about the place you’re visiting, nothing could be better than staying in a traditional Lofoten rorbu.

But first, what is a rorbu? In Norwegian, the word means a small house or storage space for rowing. Rorbu were the original homes built for traveling fishermen to stay in throughout the winter while fishing in the Lofoten Islands. Hattvika Lodge is a cozy, contemporary example of Lofoten’s rorbu fishing history reimagined for the modern traveler.

The sixteen fisherman cottages are newly rebuilt and origin from the 1870’s with modern high standard in all facilities where you can take the pulse of Lofoten’s charm and tradition, while enjoying modern comfort. Hattvika has also ten newly built, free standing hotel rooms raised on the top of Hattvika with an extraordinary views.

To provide guests with the ultimate adventure, they provide sea kayaking with a guide, guided hiking or trail running, stand-up paddling , year round photo tours as well as ski touring in the winter. Hotel also collaborates with local activity providers including local fishermen for fishing tours out of Ballstad, boat rentals, private chefs and operators for surfing, diving and Rib-tours.

Hattvika Lodge’s onsite restaurant is FANGST, an upscale but approachable sea-to-table restaurant focusing on bringing local Lofoten ingredients, flavors, and concepts to the plate. Menus are seasonal and sustainably-minded.

The adventure starts in Hattvika – we wish you a pleasant stay!

Luxury hotels are all about the details — service, amenities, personalization — but few properties are able to execute a truly creative, immersive experience. Capella Hanoi has a vision: It impressively commits to spectacle and storytelling, but without sacrificing refinement.

During a recent trip to Hanoi, I checked in to experience it myself and it was my first time in a Capella Hotel! If you want, read my full review below.

Capella Hanoi is a five-star hotel with 47 rooms and suites designed by Bill Bensley, featuring art nouveau style and inspired by the historic Hanoi Opera House.
Each room is named after an actor, opera singer, play or artist, with custom portraiture created by artist Kate Spencer. I stayed in a Premier Suite connecting with a Junior Suite. The suite’s décor provided a taste of Art Deco with a Vietnamese twist and regal patterns; its Indochine style gives the room a strong sense of place.

No room at the property looks the same, but all feature bold colors and custom portraiture. There’s luxury to be found at every category level — even the standard Premier Rooms offer marble bathrooms and balconies — but on the top floor, the property’s four Opera Suites are the grandest of the bunch!

Food is simply extraordinary. I eagerly jumped out of bed each morning to experience the lavish breakfast spread at the property’s signature venue, Backstage. Everything about breakfast is over-the-top. I will not forget the breakfast experience for years to come.

The Living Room is the hotel’s social lounge which offers complimentary all-day refreshments, afternoon tea as well as evening cocktails and canapes to all in-house guests, regardless of room category.

I booked a guided tour (in a retro Jeep) seamlessly put together for me by the Capella Culturists. A culturist is much more than a concierge! At the heart of the Capella philosophy is their visionary curation of culture and experience. ‘Capella Curates’ is a selection of experiences designed to become lifelong memories.

And after an amazing day of exploring and learning, return to Hotel Capella to relax and unwind is an immense pleasure.

Between heaven and the deep blue sea lies Hotel Capo d’Orso Thalasso & Spa, a hidden gem on Sardinia’s northern coast. During your stay here, you can find tranquillity and discovers the secrets of a healthy Sardinian lifestyle.

Capo d’Orso Thalasso & Spa takes its name from Bear Rock (Roccia dell’Orso) – an iconic granite formation carved by nature in the shape of a huge bear watching over the Palau community down below. Not your typical luxury resort defined by minimalist, ultra-modern structures; instead, the hotel still retains remnants of a bygone era (it was built in the 80s) and was designed to blend with the natural surroundings. If you are a fan of quiet luxury, great service & food and you want the beautiful Sardinian beaches, Hotel Capo d’Orso is the place to go.

In this intimate sanctuary, footpaths are bordered by an abundance of Mediterranean scrub – juniper, pine and olive trees, myrtle bushes, laurels and cypresses. Like the protected habitat it stands on, the resort retains its rustic charm and undiluted character, dominated by solid stone walls, terracotta tiles and decorative accents showcasing Sardinian craftsmanship.

All 86 rooms, alfresco lounges, restaurants, thalasso pools, spa and restaurants are spread across terraced slopes with panoramic views of the sea and islands beyond.

Chilling out is effortless here with all its secluded spots, some with hammocks strategically placed for dreamy vistas. Sun worshippers can choose
from one of five wooden sundecks spread across the water’s edge, and there are two white-sand beaches on either end of the resort – one close to the pier in Cala Capra, and then the more secluded Cala Selvaggia (Punta Cardinalino), which can be reached through a winding rocky path.

Bedrooms with verandas or balconies are most sought after, and the best ones have unobstructed views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The interior is distinctly Sardinian.

Mongolia is one of the wildest places on Earth. It is a stunning untouched land which feels unchanged from the days of the great Genghis Khan. A third of the population still lives as nomadic herders, moving several times a year among the lush countryside. Untamed and untrodden, Mongolia enchants with wide-open plains, fertile steppe, deserts and vulcanoes, a friendly and proud people, and the lore of one of the world’s greatest empires. The land is dotted with timeworn Buddhist monasteries.

We present the opportunity to explore this land staying in the best accommodation including luxuriously appointed traditional authentic gers. We will include special experiences like camel riding and trekking across the hypnotic dunes, riding Mongolian horses in the footsteps of the long-ago Silk Road trade route, paddling the “dark blue pearl” of the pristine Lake Hovsgol and meeting local families.
Sustainability is more than a founding principle, it guides every decision of operating the lodge to best take care of the land, the wildlife, Mongolia’s people, culture and traditions.

The St. Regis Red Sea Resort opened in Saudi Arabia in January 2024. The highly anticipated project was designed by architect Kengo Kuma. Its style takes inspiration from the surrounding coral reefs and marine life, from organic forms, soft curves, and desert shades.
It’s a retreat in the true sense of the word, with untouched beaches and clear blue waters. The resort’s 90 villas are divided between Dune Villas
on the beach and Coral Villas that sit on stilts above the water. Dune Villas start at a generous 75 square metres, facing east or west, with large
outdoor living and dining areas, plunge pools, sun beds, and mesmerising views of palms, sand and sea. For those who like to be close to resort
amenities, the Dune Villas are the practical choice. But it’s in the Coral Villas where things get really exciting and if you want to feel the magic of being surrounded by the Red Sea, there’s no better option. Shaped like spiralling seashells, Coral villas start from 79 square metres of indoor space, with a further 99-square-metre sundeck featuring sun beds, parasols, a dining table and an overwater plunge pool.

At the centre of the resort are restaurants, the spa, the water sports centre and the main pool and beach.
Mornings start at Arabian restaurant Nesma with freshly baked fatayer and manakish, shareable mezze served table side, and eggs, pancakes and French toast to order. Arabic flavours continue throughout the day, and it’s worth stopping by to try the local favourite sayadieh, made here with black cod, calamari and onion rice.

Dinner is an elegant affair at overwater restaurant Tilina, featuring three tasting menus designed around land, sea or local produce.
Nesma is the perfect restaurant to try the Middle Eastern specialties and Gishiki 45 is its extraordinary Japanese restaurant.

Offering serenity and relaxation, the St. Regis Spa is an exceptional sensorial retreat that celebrates its unique private island setting, the cultural ancestry of Saudia Arabia and enduring legacy of the St. Regis Brand.

While this may feel like a grown-up resort, families are very welcome. The kids’ club offers indoor and outdoor games and activities.

The Oberoi Marrakech was named the number one resort in North Africa and the Middle East, with private villas, an award-winning spa and 28 acres of Mediterranean orchards set against beautiful views of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. You feel in a piece of opulent paradise, worlds away from the bustling markets of Marrakech. It is a dream with the best service and accommodations that you can image!

More than 200 local craftsmen took over 10 years to construct some of the intricate detailing carved into the walls and ceilings of the magnificent main building, constructed on the site of a former 11-hectare farm and designed to look like an ancient Moroccan palace. All around extraordinary gardens of fragrant citrus trees, orchard, roses and centuries old olive groves punctuated by water features. The whole hotel is centred around a 787-foot-long grand canal. The courtyard of the main building incorporates the design of the historic Medersa Ben Youssef, built in the 14th century; one of Marrakech’s most famous historic monuments.

With fine dining, an award-winning spa and more than 80 spacious private villas dotted charmingly around the landscaped grounds, it’s no wonder the hotel was ranked the number one resort in North Africa and the Middle East in last year’s Travel + Leisure World’s Best awards.

Blessed with the best sunset and best location of the island, LUX* Le Morne is a chic and serene boutique resort at the foot of Le Morne mountain that calls all lovers of barefoot luxury and mindful travel.

This romantic beachfront resort embodies the perfect chic contemporary island lifestyle and boasts immersive and inspiring experiences. We love its minimalist elegance and refined interiors, deeply inspired by the destination. You can feel the soul of this place, full of emotions, freshness, and wildlife.

There’s East restaurant that is an exquisite Thai restaurant and Kawaii that is their wonderful omakase Japanese restaurant. Then there’s The Kitchen, the main restaurant which caters to all palates with its variety. There is Vik’s is where you can pop by for a Ti Punch rum drink and fresh-from-the-lagoon urchin. ICI is our artisanal ice cream ‘parlour’. Keen on Green is made for those who love their greens and veggies.

I need to tell you also about the Zero Food Waste philosophy that redistributes food to school kids and turn leftovers into compost and animal feed.

As exclusive experiences we recommend breakfast at the tree House and sunset aperitivo on Le Morne mountain. An encounter with wild Dolphins is also highly recommended.
