That's exactly why thousands of people head to Marino each year for the famous Marino Grape Festival. 🍇✨

When I lived in Rome, we would make the trip every year and it was always one of the most fun days on the calendar.

The streets come alive with parades, music, local food, wine tastings and a fantastic atmosphere as the town celebrates the grape harvest. But the highlight for many visitors is the famous moment when wine flows from one of Marino's historic fountains instead of water. 🍷 And YES you get to fill your cup!

It's one of those uniquely Italian traditions that you have to see for yourself.

If you're visiting Rome in early October, this is definitely an event worth planning around.

🇮🇹 One of my favourite hidden gems in Italy... Gaeta 💙

Tucked away between Rome and Naples, this historic seaside town has beautiful beaches, crystal-clear water and plenty of places to sit by the sea with an aperitivo and watch the world go by 🍋🌊

It's the sort of place where you can spend the morning wandering through narrow streets, enjoy a long lunch by the water, then find a quiet spot on the beach for the afternoon.

The first time I visited Gaeta, I couldn't believe more people weren't talking about it.

Gaeta has managed to hold onto that authentic Italian coastal atmosphere that can be hard to find in some of the more well-known destinations.

Not many international visitors have Gaeta on their radar yet... but they should.

Definitely one to add to your Italy bucket list 🇮🇹✨

Step beneath the canopy of giant lemons and you'll quickly understand why citrus is such a big part of life on the Sorrento Peninsula. The scent alone is incredible.
