Bali is making it clear that tourist visas are for tourism, not business.
Immigration officials have warned foreign influencers and content creators that sponsored posts, brand deals, barter stays, promotional shoots and even unpaid collaborations can still be treated as work under Indonesian immigration rules.
Recent enforcement in Bali has included checks on visa misuse, illegal work and overstays, with 62 foreign nationals reportedly detained during a 20-day operation. Officials say violations can lead to fines, deportation, or entry bans.
What do you think, is Bali right to crack down, or is this too strict for travel creators?
