You will start at the "rafting village" where you will board your 2 person, 30ft long bamboo river raft. Your licensed rafting excursion guide will pole push you down this well-known stretch of the White River. The ride on river is rather calm and the water speed varies but this is a slower paced but exhilarating trip. Please note that the journey takes about 90 minutes. After the relaxing river rafting part on the White River of this Ocho Rios shore excursion, stop at Scotchies to enjoy some real, traditional Jamaican cuisine...jerk chicken, jerk pork, festival (a type of cornmeal fritter), roasted breadfruit and beverage, all served in an authentic and rustic Jamaican setting. Breadfruit is a large fruit with bumpy green skin and a mild cream-colored center. It was originally brought to the Caribbean as an inexpensive food source for slaves. Very authentic meal!
