PGA GOLF TOUR 2017 KICKS OFF AT SANDALS RESORTS
~Sandals Emerald Bay Will Host Web.com’s First PGA Golf Tournament of the Season~



Sandals Emerald Bay will host Web.com’s first PGA Golf Tour of the 2017 season, in conjunction with The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and bd Global, LLC, from January 5-11. The tournament will feature 132-player fields and one lucky winner will receive a $108,000 first-place prize.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Web.com Tour to our award-winning, Greg Norman-designed course at Sandals Emerald Bay, recognized as one of the most scenic ocean-side golf courses in the Caribbean,” said Gordon “Butch” Stewart, Chairman of Sandals Resorts. “It’s a gorgeous, but challenging course and it will be fun to watch the pros give it their best.”

The event, which will open the Web.com Tour’s 2017 season over a three-week stretch, will feature tournament rounds contested Sunday through Wednesday, with all rounds broadcast live on Golf Channel. The unprecedented television format will allow for the conclusion of each event prior to the start of that week’s PGA TOUR stop.

The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic will be the first PGA Tour-sanctioned event to take place at a Sandals property. Ochi Beaches! This had great beaches, water activities both motorized & non-motorized, swim-up bar, the roof top bars & restaurants were both breathtaking & delicious. There was a quiet pool for those who just wanted to relax & enjoy one another.
