🇬🇧 The ancient Nabatean city of Petra is a magical and exciting place. Its main symbol is the "Treasury", so called because of a legend according to which the urn located on the top should contain a very important treasure. During the "Petra By Night" the Treasury is illuminated by many candles which make the atmosphere unique. Thanks to the use of the app, I planned the shot while waiting for the milky way to emerge in the mountains surrounding the monument. I also had the opportunity to test the beta version of 2023, in particular the "generative fill" program which allowed me to completely remove the souvenir shop placed in a photographically unconfortable point, and to generate the ground and part of the mountains thanks to artificial intelligence in an absolutely more than intelligent way.

Distance: 128 km
Elevation: 1500 m
Umm Qais was once the thriving Roman city of Gadara.
It is mentioned in the Bible as the location where Jesus performed the miracle of the Gadarene Swine. The site was home to the ancient city of Gadara which was well located on the trade route between Syria and Palestine. It became a popular holiday resort for Romans and was notable for attracting scholars, writers and artists. It was ruled by the Romans as part of the Decapolis League in around 63BC and the city was a reward for King Herod the Great in 31BC.
