I actually tried a pro wrestling experience in Tokyo 🇯🇵🔥

Not just watching—you can actually step into the ring and try it yourself💥
It was way more intense than I expected…

Honestly, just getting into the ring is something only real wrestlers usually do,
and I even got to experience it with a super famous wrestler in Japan… I was so happy🥹

Getting thrown for real was a first in my life lol

This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience you can only have in Japan ✨🔥

Have you ever tried natto? 🤔🇯🇵

Hi! It’s Arimi from HTJ☀️

Natto is one of the most unique (and controversial!) traditional Japanese foods. It’s made from fermented soybeans and has a strong smell, sticky texture, and rich flavor.

In Japan, many people grow up eating natto for breakfast, often with rice, soy sauce, and sometimes a little mustard or vinegar!

Some people love it, some people can’t handle it… what about you? 😆

Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried natto — or if you want to try it someday!

🍣 A real sushi lunch in Japan 🇯🇵

Hi! It’s Arimi from HTJ ☀️

From ordering to eating—this is how we actually enjoy sushi!
Today I had a sushi lunch set, including nodoguro (a specialty from Ishikawa Prefecture), best enjoyed with sudachi and a bit of salt ✨
Some white fish tastes even better with salt instead of soy sauce!

What kind of sushi do you like? 🍣
Let me know in the comments!

A very normal miso soup moment in a Japanese home 🍲🇯🇵

Hi! It’s Arimi from HTJ ☀️

Cutting tofu on your hand might look scary, but this is actually pretty common in Japan 👀

Today I made miso soup with fresh onions and spinach 🧅🥬
…maybe I added too many ingredients 😅

Simple, everyday cooking like this is a big part of Japanese life.

Would you try this way of cutting tofu?😉

🇯🇵 Japanese Words Made from Two Ideas!

Hi! It’s Arimi from HTJ ☀️

Japanese has a lot of words made by combining two meanings — once you get it, they’re super easy to understand!

🍱 Ekiben (駅弁)
→ Station + Bento

🌸 Yozakura (夜桜)
→ Night + Cherry Blossoms

🌸 Hanami (花見)
→ Flower + Viewing

🍢 Yakitori (焼鳥)
→ Grilled + Chicken

The readings can be a bit tricky because Japanese uses both onyomi & kunyomi (Chinese & native readings)… but that’s what makes it unique! 🇯🇵

What other examples do you know? 👀

Thanksgiving / Easter / St. Patrick’s Day
Big in other countries, but not really a common tradition in Japan
Still, they’re all such lovely cultures and celebrations ☺️
🎄 Christmas
In Japan, it’s a HUGE event✨ Dates, cake, and even KFC for Christmas dinner 🍗🎂

It’s so interesting how the same holidays can be celebrated so differently!
