🇯🇵 Day 3 with Frankie, Helen, and Sumner ✨

Our final day together began with a visit to the Kunon Festival at Oshio Tenmangu Shrine.

They experienced the powerful atmosphere of traditional Japanese festival culture, watching the dynamic yatai floats and lively lion dances up close.

For lunch, we enjoyed delicious Japanese ramen at Tsukemen Tomi 🍜

Afterward, we planned to visit Mt. Shosha and Engyoji Temple, but unfortunately the ropeway was suspended due to strong winds.

Instead, we changed plans and headed to Murotsu, a historic port town that once flourished as an important harbor along the Seto Inland Sea.

We visited the Murotsu Folk Museum, Murotsu Sea Station Museum, and the historic Kamo Shrine, enjoying the nostalgic atmosphere and rich maritime history of this beautiful coastal town ⛩️🌊

To conclude the journey, Helen’s special request was fulfilled with a wonderful shabu-shabu dinner at Sankyu 🥩✨

It was truly an unforgettable three days filled with culture, history, friendship, and meaningful moments together.

🇯🇵 フランキーさん、ヘレンさん、サマナーさんとの旅もいよいよ3日目✨

この日は、大塩天満宮の国恩祭へ。迫力ある屋台練りや獅子舞を間近で見学し、姫路の熱い祭り文化を体感していただきました。

ランチは「つけ麺 冨」で日本のラーメンを堪能🍜

その後、書写山円教寺へ向かう予定でしたが、強風のためロープウェイが運休に。そこで予定を変更し、かつて海上交通の要所として大いに栄えた港町・室津へ向かいました。

室津民俗館、室津海駅館、そして歴史ある賀茂神社を巡り、瀬戸内海の歴史と静かな港町の風情を満喫⛩️🌊

そして旅の締めくくりは、ヘレンさんたってのご希望だった「三九」でのしゃぶしゃぶディナー🥩✨心温まる最後の晩餐となりました。

文化、歴史、人との出会いに恵まれた、とても充実した3日

In the heart of Golden Week, we visited the Koku-on Festival at Oshio Tenmangu Shrine 🇯🇵✨

Thanks to a kind introduction from Mr. Sunagawa of Sunagawa Lacquerware, we experienced this remarkable local celebration together with Frankie, Helen, and Sumner.

The lion dance was both playful and powerful, while the grand entry of the festival floats carried an intense, almost electrifying energy.

The highlight — the “Sancho Neri,” a dynamic ritual where festival floats from three different neighborhoods are brought together and energetically maneuvered in unison — was simply breathtaking.

Himeji’s festivals are bold, dynamic, and undeniably cool.
An authentic cultural experience filled with energy, tradition, and unforgettable moments. 🔥

ゴールデンウィーク真っ只中、姫路市の大塩天満宮で開催された「国恩祭」へ🇯🇵✨

砂川塗工芸の砂川さんに教えていただき、フランキー、ヘレン、サムナーと一緒に訪れました。

どこか滑稽さもありながら勇壮な獅子舞、
そして迫力満点の屋台の宮入り。

クライマックスの“三町練り”はまさに圧巻。

姫路の祭りは、本当に力強くてカッコいい。

🌸千姫ぼたん祭り🌸

4月18日、第33回「千姫ぼたん祭り」が開催されました✨

会場は、世界遺産 姫路城 内 三の丸西の高台「千姫ぼたん園」。
満開のぼたんと姫路城の美しいコントラストが、とても印象的な一日でした🏯🌸

和太鼓や日本舞踊、忍者ショーなども行われ、会場は終始にぎやかに✨
ご来場いただいた皆さま、ありがとうございました！

また来年もお楽しみに🌸
