Today, they are not really lucky with weather… But for sure, it doesn’t bother them to discover the charms of Noto!

They are walking around in city under beautiful blue sky today, well it is quite rare to have this sky in our winter (bit shame that we cannot share show photo for people who lives in tropical though) and they found this Ramen shop called Ippudo. Sorry for people have not had lunch yet, this must be look soooooo good.

The rumours were true: this akamaru ramen was some of the best we've ever had

Jamie & Katy visited Yamato Soysauce & Miso Co. Ltd. in Kanazawa city to learn about Soy Sauce, Miso and Shio Koji (made of rise fermented with salt). Recently Japanese Cuisine was added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list. Their products and process are definitely important “assets” not only in Ishikawa, also in Japan!

Follow us daily on Facebook,Twitter to discover the best that Ishikawa prefecture has to offer, through the eyes of professional travel writer and photographer

Mission
Following the successful 2011 Travel Volunteer project, travel writer and photographer duo Jamie Lafferty and Katy Morrison have returned to Japan as part of a new project entitled Smiles of Ishikawa.

Starting on Monday, 27 January, the British couple will embark on a tour of Ishikawa, sharing their historic, cultural and culinary findings on social media in a bid to increase international exposure to the prefecture ahead of a new shinkansen (bullet train) route opening in the region in 2015. The project will be split between winter and early summer, allowing for a greater understanding of Japan's dramatic seasonal changes.

The Smiles of Ishikawa project is organised by Ishikawa Prefecture and operated by The Real Japan, a national luxury travel agency.
