在世界遺產二條城，將舉辦夜間點燈活動「NAKED meets 二條城 2025」，讓來訪者盡情享受夏日祭典的氛圍。

At the World Heritage Site Nijo Castle, a nighttime light-up event titled “NAKED meets Nijo-jo Castle 2025: A Summer Flow of Light” will be held to let visitors fully enjoy the festive summer atmosphere.

This summer, visitors can enjoy a wide variety of cooling, summer-themed content—such as interactive art inspired by Kyoto’s seasonal traditions like kawadoko (riverside dining) and sasabune (bamboo leaf boats)—set against the backdrop of illuminated cultural treasures, including the National Treasure Ninomaru Palace and the Important Cultural Property Karamon Gate.

In addition, the event will feature the popular projection mapping of fireworks onto the inner moat stone walls, as well as traditional festival food stalls, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Kamogawa Odori 2025
舞妓藝妓京舞表演: 鴨川舞😍😍😍

The Geisha and Maiko of Kyoto are professional entertainers who perform at high-end dinners, private parties, and special events. They are trained in various traditional Japanese arts, including dance and music.

First held in 1872, the Kamogawa Odori is an annual dance performance by Geiko and Maiko (apprentice Geiko) from the Ponto-cho district. This event is the last of Kyoto’s spring geisha dances, held every May. The performance is divided into two parts: dance drama and the pure dance. Come and enjoy the vibrant spring colors and experience this unique traditional art form!

Everyone is looking forward to the cherry blossoms season!
There are many places to enjoy flowers in Kyoto, which place is your favorite ?

Most of them are accessible by bus, but they are crowded with people and it takes a lot of time to get around and to find restaurants to eat.

If you don't have much time, or you have a family with young and old members and want to enjoy the cherry blossoms in a time-saving and comfortable way, you can consider joining a cherry blossom viewing bus tour to make the most of your time.
