STOP STAYING ONLY IN TOKYO!

You’re missing the real Japan just 1 hour away from Tokyo. This isn’t a Studio Ghibli movie — it’s the daily life in Kamakura.

Imagine a vintage train passing so close to your cafe table that your coffee literally shakes. No fences, no barriers, just pure nostalgia.

Most tourists stay trapped in the Shinjuku neon loop, while the real magic happens at these level crossings.

How to get here:

1. Take the JR line to Kamakura Station.
2. Transfer to the vintage Enoden line.
3. Get off at any small station and just walk.

The question is: Would you find this proximity charming or is it way too close for your comfort?

👇 Drop a «YES» if you’d stay in this cafe for hours, or «NO» if it looks too scary!

Two people, one Tokyo.

One wants temples, architecture and quiet streets.

The other wants Shibuya, Tokyo Tower, shopping and late nights.

Our job is not to choose one side,

but to design a route where both versions of Tokyo

can exist in the same trip –

and sometimes to let them finally agree over a good bar counter.

JAPAN ON A PLATE,

one swipe at a time.

Not just “perfect kaiseki”, but what you really meet on the road.

👉 Swipe through:

1 – Sushi & sashimi

2 – Ramen & soba

3 – Teppanyaki & tempura

4 – Nabe and chawanmushi

5 – Street snacks: cucumber on a stick, okonomiyaki

6 – Matcha and quiet tea moments

7 – Yakiniku on charcoal

8 – Oden

Some days look like a magazine,

some days are just something warm between trains.

Both are part of a real trip.

And honestly?
In Japan, there’s a running joke that “4‑Michelin‑star dining” is from 7‑Eleven.
After a long kaiseki dinner, so many guests quietly end up in McDonald’s or at the kombini…😅

Which slide looks the most like your Japan – or which one scares you the most?

💬 Tell us in the comments, we’re curious.

Japan’s Best Kept Secret: The Green Season

🌱 Japan after cherry blossoms is quieter – but not less beautiful.
Fresh green and azaleas are when
gardens feel almost private: soft light, new leaves, and just a few precise touches of colour.

We use this season for guests who want
Japan without crowds and without chasing postcard shots.

If you only had one late spring / early summer trip to Japan, would you choose sakura or this kind of green?

💬 Comment which Japanese season you think is most underrated – fresh green, rainy season, autumn or winter.

Golden Week in Japan: koinobori in the sky, gridlock on the ground.

Children’s Day looks beautiful from afar – carp streamers, blue sky, holiday mood.

But for travellers it often means fully booked trains, long taxi lines at stations,
and famous spots like Kamakura turning into slow‑moving crowds.

If you love peace and space,
Golden Week is not the best time for Disney, USJ or Hakone.

We usually choose small rivers, local parks and quiet corners we don’t put on public maps.

💬 Would you rather see Japan in the middle of the buzz or when it’s almost empty?

Tell us in the comments – we are curious which side you’re on.

✨ SORAYAMA: Light, Transparency and Reflection

Not every stop near Tokyo Station has to be shopping or coffee.

Sorayama’s “Light, Transparency and Reflection“ in Kyobashi is a compact hit of robots, chrome and controlled light –

a clean contrast to the usual Tokyo itinerary.

We like this kind of short art stop for guests

who already know the “classic” side of Japan

and want something that talks to design and pop culture instead.

💬 Art people:

does this feel like a “must” stop for you,

or more like a nice‑to‑have if time allows?

Goto: Hidden History & Prayer

A different side of Goto.

Quiet churches, small coves and villages where history is still very close to the surface.

For centuries, hidden Christians chose remote bays and tiny islands like these, far from power and from the maps.

We keep this side of Japan for guests who are curious not only about views, but about the stories that still live behind them.

01/05/2026

Goto, where Japan feels almost unreal.

Empty beaches, wild cliffs, islands scattered in the sea – landscapes that look like they could be a frame from a Miyazaki film, but are very real and very quiet.
This is the side of Japan we keep for guests
who value silence and space.
