🌺 Mālō e lelei and Kon'nichiwa from the Tonga Pavilion at Osaka Expo! 🇹🇴🇯🇵

Every day, we’re excited to see more and more walk-in visitors, many greeting us with a cheerful "Mālō e lelei!" 😊 Students especially bring great energy, and nearly everyone walks in shouting "Tongaaaaa Ragubī!" 🏉 celebrating Tonga’s rugby pride in Japan!

Today, we had the honor of welcoming Minister of Expo, Ito Yosh*taka, visited our pavilion and enjoyed viewing our 3D art and traditional crafts. He found the 3D tapa artworks very interesting and was presented with a special piece by Milika Pomana, in a gesture symbolizing cultural exchange and appreciation 🎁.

Every day brings more beautiful moments to the
Tonga Pavilion! 🇹🇴✨
We’re seeing more local visitors walk in with a cheerful “Mālō e lelei!”, and it warms our hearts to hear both young and old share their dreams of visiting Tonga one day. 🌴💭
School tours from Japan’s primary and junior high schools also continue, filling the Pavilion with energy, curiosity, and connection

🌺 ✨ Heartwarming moments at the Tonga Pavilion! Primary and junior high school students greeted us with a cheerful ‘Mālō e lelei,’ and Tevita Pola’apau’s stunning 3D tapa artwork left everyone in awe. 🇹🇴💫 The Fehoko Art creations were also inspired by so many beautiful elements of Tongan culture. 🇹🇴✨

Visitors who last went to Tonga 40-50 years ago were overjoyed to feel like they were ‘home’ again. 🙌

The Tonga Pavilion at Osaka Expo is buzzing with excitement!🇹🇴💯 We've had an overwhelming number of walk-ins, including curious university students, all captivated by our vibrant culture. Our standout mannequin, dressed in traditional attire worn to church, school, and work, left many surprised and inspired. And our 3D Tapa art? A true showstopper!

What an incredible end to Japan's Golden Week at Expo 2025 Osaka!

This has been our busiest week yet, with a huge number of walk-in visitors to the Tonga Pavilion. Guests were truly inspired by our theme "OUR CHILDREN, OUR FUTURE," and how we bring it to life through education, religion, culture, and sports.

Many were amazed by the intricate Tapa art, asking what it's made from (it's handcrafted from the inner bark of the mulberry tree!). We also had visitors from Asia and Europe asking, "How can we get to Tonga?"
You can fly to Tonga via transit through Fiji, New Zealand, or Australia.

Exciting day at the Tonga 🇹🇴 Pavilion! We welcomed a vibrant group of primary school students and many curious visitors. Teachers showed great interest in our theme: Our “Children, Our Future”
Empower Them through Religion, Sports, Education, and Culture.
