It really is ✨
Mount Fuji has that quiet, majestic vibe—no matter how many times you see it, it still feels special. The symmetry, the snow cap, the calm around it… pure magic 🗻💙

Festival starts from January 23 – March 1, 2026 — snow huts and winter village event period.

🎎 What Happens
• Snow huts (kamakura) are built across “Kamakura Village” (かまくらの里) in the snowy fields.
• You can walk among the huts, see them illuminated at night, and enjoy snow-play areas.
• A major attraction is “Restaurant Kamakura Village” — eat local dishes (like noroshi nabe, a Shinshu-style hot pot) inside a kamakura.

🍲 Unique Feature
• Dining inside a snow hut is a distinctive cultural experience—warm food inside snowy huts!

🪩 Local Event Tie-Ins
• Iiyama also hosts the Iiyama Snow Festival (雪まつり) on February 7–8, 2026, featuring snow sculptures and winter activities in the city broader area.

Nagano’s Kamakura Village is especially good for families, food lovers, and visitors who enjoy active snow experiences and rural winter culture.

G7 NIKKO refers to a tourist attraction in Nikko, Tochigi. It’s likely associated with the city’s G7 promotional installation — a photo spot with the “G7 NIKKO” letters that was placed near Lake Chuzenji (中禅寺湖) to commemorate the G7-related international meeting held there.

🧠 What event this comes from

In June 2023, Nikko hosted one of the G7 ministers’ meetings — specifically the G7 Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment Ministers’ Meeting as part of the broader G7 Summit activities. It was held at The Ritz‑Carlton, Nikko near Lake Chuzenji, and local organizers placed a “G7 NIKKO” sign on the lakeside as a photo/landmark spot for visitors and delegates.

🗾 What was discussed at the meeting

At the 2023 event — the first such G7 meeting held in Japan on this subject — ministers discussed topics like pandemic lesson sharing and women’s economic independence, and adopted a joint declaration known as the “Nikko Statement.”

📍 Visiting G7 NIKKO today

Nowadays the “G7 NIKKO” installation functions as a photo spot and reminder of Nikko’s part in international diplomacy, often visited by tourists exploring the area around Lake Chuzenji and the surrounding national park scenery. You can see it as a point of interest while visiting lakes, waterfalls, and shrines in Nikko’s scenic region.
