🎆 SUMMER FIREWORK FESTIVAL IN ASAKURA, FUKUOKA 🎆

On the evening of May 20, Asakura in Fukuoka will host a spectacular fireworks festival to celebrate the beginning of summer in Japan ✨

Around 2,000 fireworks will light up the night sky over the beautiful Harazuru Onsen area, creating a magical atmosphere together with traditional lantern streets and local Japanese food stalls 🎐🍡

🔥 Special Highlight:
Visitors can also enjoy the rare traditional cormorant fishing performance, a unique summer tradition in Japan 🐦🎣

⏰ Time: 20:00 – 20:40
🍢 Many food stalls will be available, so it’s recommended to arrive early to enjoy the food and get a good viewing spot

See 20,000 azaleas at this hidden gem in west Tokyo.
The centuries-old Shiofune Kannonji in Ome is home to one of the most breathtaking azalea gardens l've seen - and it's so peaceful out here.
The hillside bursts into vivid colours during peak season (mid-April to early-May), with roughly 20,000 azaleas blooming at the foot of the majestic Goddess of Mercy.
How to get there:
Take the JR Chuo Line Rapid to Tachikawa
Station, then transfer to the Chuo Ome Line and get off at Kabe Station.
Catch the 梅77甲 bus to 塩船音入口
(Shiofune Kannon Iriguchi). It's a short walk from the bus stop
Open daily, 8am-5pm
Entry is ·300 during azalea season, otherwise free
