Similarly, mixed-material flexible pouches (combining plastic, foil, and paper layers) optimize shelf life and reduce shipping weight but are nearly impossible to separate during sorting.

The Operational Shift: This gap is quickly turning unrecyclable formats into commercial liabilities. Driven by strict global regulations like Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes—which financially penalize hard-to-recycle formats—and laws cracking down on misleading "eco" labels, companies are forced to prioritize operational reality over mere technical claims. 5月13日の『WEB CRUISE』の記事によると、豪華客船「アザマラ・パシュート」が2ヶ月間にわたる日本周遊クルーズを終え、東京港からアラスカ方面へ向けて出港しました。 乗客数約700人規模の同船は、大型船が寄港しにくい地方港を数多く巡り、各港に10時間以上滞在する「没入型」の旅を展開。船内では茶道教室などの日本文化紹介が行われ、秋田港では秋田犬が船内に招かれるなど地域密着型の国際交流が行われました。今回の日本離航に際し、キャプテンらの発案により、高松港の高校生たちと共同制作した50メートルに及ぶ巨大な手書き横断幕「ありがとうございます！！」が船体から掲げられ、見送り客に向けて各地での温かい歓迎に対する深い感謝が表現されました。

オランダの探検クルーズ会社Oceanwide Expeditionsが運航するMVホンディウス号で、ハンタウイルスの集団感染が発生。乗客3名が死亡し、120名以上が途中下船を余儀なくされました。

感染が確認されたのはアンデスウイルス株で、ハンタウイルスの中で唯一、人から人への感染が可能なウイルスです。ワクチンも特効薬も存在しません。

WHOは感染拡大リスクを「低い」と評価していますが、潜伏期間が数週間あるため、今後も新たな発症者が出る可能性があると警告しています。

MVホンディウス号は5月19日、残る乗員27名を乗せてロッテルダムに入港。下船後は隔離措置が取られます。

A deadly hantavirus outbreak aboard the MV Hondius, operated by Dutch expedition company Oceanwide Expeditions, has killed three passengers and forced the evacuation of more than 120 people.

The strain identified is the Andes virus — the only hantavirus capable of spreading person to person. No vaccine or specific treatment exists.

The WHO has assessed the outbreak as “low risk” but warns new cases may still emerge given the virus’s incubation period of several weeks.

The MV Hondius arrived in Rotterdam on May 19 with 27 remaining crew members, who will undergo quarantine upon disembarkation.
