Japan still keep its legend, one of the most famous legends of Iwate, “Zashikiwarashi”, Spirit of a child which bring the house happiness and good fortune. People from all over Japan to see him.

One of the most well known craftsmanship of Iwate Prefecture is “Nanbu Takko”, Nanbu style Ironware, especially “Tetsubin”, Iron Kettle, which makes hot water soft with iron.

Before going into the busy Spring season I’m taking a break at very traditional hot spring inn “Fujisan Ryokan” in Hanamaki, Iwate. Yes it is Coed bath, no, no swimsuit. It’s one of the deepest in Japan about 150cm deep, so people take a bath while they are standing. It’s just amazing
