Flights from India to Japan
(印度から帰国をご希望の日本人の方々向けの情報は英文に続く)

Japan has raised India to L3 caution country after the recent rise in corona cases in India. Hence, only those holding Special PRs (特別永住者), PRs (永住者), Long Term Resident visas (定住者), Spouses to Japanese nationals will be allowed to enter Japan. Others will have to wait. Bad luck. However, you may still contact the Japanese missions as per the following guidelines. Never sure your case could be considered.

1. Air India Flight details
- Mumbai to Narita on 27th May.
- Delhi to Narita on 30th May.

2. Inquiries to check the eligibility to enter Japan via email only
- Delhi flight: Embassy of Japan ([email protected])
- Mumbai flight: Consulate-General of Japan in Mumbai ([email protected])

3. Submitting documents
Japanese mission will ask you for documents. The deadline for submission of such documents by email is 09:00 AM, May 25th (Mon).

4. Judgment by embassy whether the individual fulfills the criteria for entry to Japan. Those deemed not to fulfill the criteria will receive this result via email. Such individuals will not be allowed to board the Air India flights. Japanese mission will not respond to any further inquiries from these individuals.

5. For those deemed to fulfill the criteria, the Japanese mission will send the case to Japan HQ for further inspection. The result will be conveyed to individuals. Only those individuals deemed to fulfill the necessary criteria in this stage will be allowed to board the Air India flight. You also need to take care of approvals for local travel in India, wherever necessary.

6. After landing in Japan
- Take the PCR test. You will be allowed to go home after the test only by private vehicle. If you do not have a private vehicle, you will have to stay in the designated area until the test result comes out (2 to 3 days) and it is negative. If the test result is positive, you will be quarantined.

３　上記臨時便を御利用いただく方は，御自身で各出発空港までの移動手段を確保いただく必要があります。陸路を自動車で移動される方について移動許可証の取得を行いますので，上記臨時運航便を予約された方は，以下に従い，Ｅメールで御連絡ください。州境通過や出国審査の円滑化等，皆様の移動を確実にするため，今回も移動通行許可証を申請する予定であり，そのために不可欠な情報となります。

４　遠方から陸路で各出発空港に向かって移動される方及び州境を跨いで移動される方は，上記３の連絡事項を，ムンバイ発成田行臨時便を御利用いただく場合は２３日正午までに，デリー発成田行の臨時便を御利用いただく場合は移動開始日の２日前までに，御連絡願います。特に，遠方から州境を超えて空港に向かう必要がある方が複数いらっしゃる場合は，安全確保等の観点から，なるべく同じ車両にまとまっての御移動をお勧めいたします。複数の車両を乗り継ぐ場合は，全て御登録ください。

なお，５月２５日から一部の国内線の運航が再開される予定のところ，遠方から移動される方で国内線の予約が取れた方は，当館（ [email protected] ）あてにフライト情報を御一報願います。

５　上記臨時便を利用して日本への帰国を検討される方のうち，ビザが失効している，または出国までにビザが失効する方は，必ず出国までにＦＲＲＯのウェブサイト上で延長手続き，または出国許可手続きを完了し，必要な許可を取得してから帰国してください。

６　本２２日，日本外務省は，全世界に対する感染症危険情報を発出しました。インドはレベル３（渡航は止めてください。）に引き上げられました。感染症危険情報レベルの引き上げを受けて，今後，検疫強化等を含む水際措置が講じられることとなります。今後の情報に御注意ください。詳しくは以下の感染症危険情報を御確認下さい。

レベル３への引き上げに伴い，今後水際対策等に関する新たな措置が導入される場合は領事メール等でお知らせします。

７　なお，昨日までに感染症危険情報レベル３が発出された国からの日本への入国に当たっては，現時点で以下の水際対策措置がとられています。
●空港の検疫所において，質問票の記入，体温の測定，症状の確認などが求められます。
●PCR検査が実施されます。また，検査結果が出るまで，公共交通機関を使用しないで移動できる場合には自宅など国内の居所で，移動できない場合は空港内のスペース又は検疫所が指定した施設等で，待機いただくこととなります。検査結果が判明するまで，不特定の方と接触の機会が想定される，ご自身で確保されたホテル，旅館等の宿泊施設には移動できません。現在，入国制限対象地域の拡大に伴い，検査対象となる方が増加しており，空港等において，到着から入国まで数時間，結果判明まで１日～２日程度待機いただく状況が続いているとのことです。
●また，入国の翌日から起算して１４日間は，検疫所長の指定する場所（御自宅や御自身で確保された宿泊施設等（※））で不要不急の外出を避け，待機することが要請されるとともに，保健所等による健康確認の対象となります。 PCR検査の結果が陰性であっても同様です。
※自宅等への移動は公共交通機関（鉄道，バス，タクシー，航空機（国内線），旅客船等）を使用せずに移動できることが条件となりますので，事前に御家族やお勤めの会社等による送迎，御自身でレンタカーを手配するなどの移動手段の確保を行ってください。家族による送迎の場合，出迎えに来た方は，帰国者と同乗したという理由では自宅待機の必要はありませんが，帰国者が帰国後に陽性が確認された場合には，濃厚接触者になるため，その時点から待機等が必要になります。
●本臨時運航便の利用を検討している日本人の配偶者等で外国籍の方は，日本入国に際して必要となる資格を有しているか御確認をお願いします。感染症危険情報レベルの引き上げを受けて，今後，入国拒否対象地域の追加，検疫強化等を含む水際措置が講じられることとなります。今後の情報に御注意ください。

Passport Tearing at Airports....Read it Carefully.!!!

Be Careful at Airports , This is a well organized conspiracy by Immigration, Police, Customs and staff with networking at all the International Airports.. Be careful when ever you give your passport to Immigration/ Customs/ staff. The pass port can be easily tampered and can create trouble to you. They have found easy way of making money from NRIs. This is the way it works:

At the time of the passenger's departure, if the passenger is not looking at the officer while he is stamping the exit, the officer very cleverly tears away one of the page from the passport. When the passenger leaves the immigration counter, the case is reported on his computer terminal with full details. Now all over India they have got full details of the passenger with Red Flag flashing on the Passport number entered by the departure immigration officer. They have made their money by doing above.

On arrival next time, he is interrogated.

Subject to the passenger's period of stay abroad, his income and standing etc., the price to get rid of the problem is settled by the Police and Immigration people. If someone argues, his future is spoiled because there are always some innocent fellows who think the honesty is the basis of getting justice in India .

Please advise every passenger to be careful at the airport. Whenever they hand over the passport to the counters of airport , or immigration or the customs, they must be vigilant, should not remove eyes from the passport even if the officer in front tries to divert their attention.

Also, please pass this information to all friends, media men and important politicians. Every month 20-30 cases are happening all over India to rob the NRIs the minute he lands. Similar case has happened with Aramco's Arifuddin. He was traveling with his family. They had six passports. They got the visa of America and decided to go via Hyderabad from Jeddah. They reached Hyderabad .Stayed about a month and left for the States. When they reached the States, the page of the American visa on his wife's passport was missing. At the time of departure from Hyderabad it was there, the whole family had to return to Hyderabad helplessly. On arrival at Bombay back, they were caught by the police and now it is over 2 months, they are running after the Police, Immigration officers and the Courts. On going in to details with him, he found out the following: One cannot imagine, neither can believe, that the Indian Immigration dept can play such a nasty game to harass the innocent passengers.

All the passengers traveling to & fro India via Bombay and Hyderabad must be aware of this conspiracy. Every month 15 to 20cases are taking place, at each mentioned airport, of holding the passengers in the crime of tearing away the passport pages. On interviewing some of them, none of them was aware of what had happened. They don't know why, when and who tore away the page from the middle of the passport. One can imagine the sufferings of such people at the hands of the immigration, police and the court procedures in India after that. The number of cases is increasing in the last 2-3 years. People who are arriving at the immigration, they are questioned and their passports are being held and they have to go in interrogation. Obviously, the conspiracy started about 2 to 3 years ago, now the results are coming. Some of the counter staff too is involved in this conspiracy.

Trip to Katas and Khewra Mines

The Khewra Salt Mine (or Mayo Salt Mine) is located in Khewra, north of Pind Dadan Khan, an administrative subdivision of Jhelum District, Punjab, Pakistan. It is Pakistan's largest and oldest salt mine and the world's second largest. It is a major tourist attaction, drawing up to 250,000 visitors a year. Its history dates back to its discovery by Alexander's troops in 320 BC, but it started trading in the Mughal era. The main tunnel at ground level was developed by Dr. H. Warth, a mining engineer, in 1872, during British rule. After partition the Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation took over the mine, which still remains the largest source of salt in the country, producing more than 350,000 tons per annum of about 99% pure halite. Estimates of the reserves of salt in the mine vary from 82 million tons to 600 million tons.

Katasraj Mandir is a Hindu mandir or temple complex situated in Katas village in the Chakwal district of Punjab in Pakistan. Dedicated to Shiva, the temple has existed since the days of Mahābhārata and the Pandava brothers spent a substantial part of their exile at the site. The Pakistan Government is considering nominating the temple complex for World Heritage Site status. In 2007, it also proposed to restore the temple complex. In 2012, the temple pond is drying up due to heavy use of ground water for industrial purposes.

Most of these temples, were built around 900 years or so ago, although the earliest of the Katasraj temples dates back to the latter half of the 6th century AD.

The temple complex was not abandoned by Hindus when they migrated to East Punjab in 1947. It has always been the site of holy pilgrimage for people of various faiths. Even nowadays, worshipers of all faiths perform pilgrimage to the mandir. The pilgrims bathe in the sacred pool and seek forgiveness as Hindu belief holds that bathing in the pond (especially on certain occasions) leads to the forgiveness of sins and helps attain salvation. Until recently, it was believed that the pond had unlimited depth.

The two semi-ruined temples of the Hindushahiya period (650–950 AD) have been frequently photographed by newspapers and history journals.
