A Natural Summer Escape in Kyoto’s Mountains 🌿
Kototaki Falls
Looking for a cool summer getaway in Kyoto😎?
Kototaki Falls in Kyotamba Town is definitely a destination worth adding to your list👍🏻.
The waterfall cascades down a massive rock face from a height of 43 meters, and its flowing streams resemble the strings of a koto (traditional Japanese harp), which is how Kototaki Falls 🎹 got its name.
It is also known as one of the tallest waterfalls in Kyoto Prefecture.
As you walk along the trail surrounded by lush greenery🌿, the soothing sound of flowing water fills the air, and the temperature gradually becomes cooler as you approach the falls🎐.
Standing before the waterfall and watching the powerful stream plunge downward, you can almost feel the summer heat being swept away.
On a hot summer day☀️, instead of heading to the beach🏝️, why not experience a different side of Kyoto and enjoy the refreshing atmosphere of nature❗️

【Kototaki Falls】
Address: Ichimori, Kyotamba Town, Funai District, Kyoto 622‑0212
Access: Take the Chukyo Kotsu Enpuku Line bus from the east exit of JR Sonobe Station, get off at“Kototaki-michi” Bus Stop, and walk approximately 30 minutes.
