RETRAK at the 10th AgriTech International Exhibition & Conference.
We were honoured to have our CEO Wambui Wamwiri Mbarire MBS, represent RETRAK as a panelist during a high-level discussion on the theme:
"Harnessing Technology to Transform Food Systems and Enhance Nutrition in Africa."
Her contribution focused on the critical topic of Accessibility and Equity, exploring the role of the retail sector in creating more inclusive and tech-enabled food systems. Key insights shared included:
🔹 How the retail sector is leveraging technology to make nutritious food more affordable and accessible, particularly in underserved urban and peri-urban communities.
🔹 The rise of digital innovations that are enabling smaller retailers—such as kiosks and informal traders—to actively participate in more structured, technology-driven food systems.
The discussion reinforced the importance of collaborative solutions that link agriculture, retail, and innovation to build stronger, more resilient food systems across Africa.
As RETRAK, we remain committed to championing the role of retail in driving food system transformation and ensuring equitable access to nutrition for all.

Data-Based Decision Making in Retail

One of the key themes that emerged at the Retail Summit was the growing importance of data-based decision making. In a competitive retail landscape, businesses that leverage data to understand consumer behavior, optimize inventory, and personalize the customer experience are best positioned for sustainable growth.

From harnessing POS analytics to using AI for demand forecasting.

Retail is data driven.
