From the gentle sea breeze to the thriving businesses and the lively movement of vehicles, the spot holds countless memories for people passing through the highway.

When did you last visit Kavunyalalo, a village in the interior of Malindi? If it’s been five or six years, now is the perfect time to plan a visit!

Once considered remote, Kavunyalalo is slowly transforming into a beautiful, thriving centre. Thanks to devolution, areas like this, once overlooked, are now blossoming into admired community hubs.

The picture shows part of the current beautiful Kavunyalalo. Apart from its fertile black loam soil, the village borders the Galana River, where many residents practice irrigation farming.

BEAUTIFUL SCENERY AT KOLONGONI IN CHONYI ALONG MAVUENI–KALOLENI ROAD

Beautiful scenic views can be witnessed at Kolongoni in Chonyi along the busy Mavueni–Kaloleni road. The area is well known for its unique landscape where the road passes through a deep depression with sharp corners, creating a striking view for travelers.

Due to the steep slope and sharp bends, drivers are always advised to be very cautious and ensure their vehicles have a proper braking system when approaching this section of the road.

From the top of the depression, one can enjoy a wide and beautiful view of large parts of Chonyi, making Kolongoni one of the most memorable points along the route.
