Let’s go to Mount Kenya! Trekking up Sirimon down Chogoria in 5 days!
Day 1. Leave Nairobi in the morning and drive to Nanyuki where you will pick our cook, porters and food before you continue with the transfer to Sirimon gate where you start the hike through the forest up to old moses camp 3,300m. for dinner and overnight.
Day 2. Hike up in the moorland with a good view of the Peaks through Mackinders valley to Shiptons camp 4200m. 6-7 hrs walk.
Day 3. Acclimatization day and take a hike up to 4,600m. and then descend back to Shiptons for lunch, dinner and overnight.
Day 4. After 2.30 am tea, climb up Lenana Peak 4,985m and after sunrise, descend down to Mintos camp for breakfast and later down viewing the gorges valley Bandas lodge for hot shower, dinner and overnight.
Day 5. After breakfast, you will meet with the crews as you wish them farewell and later take a 2 hrs. hike to meet the transfer vehicles out of the mountain to Chogoria village and then drive back to Nairobi to arrive in the evening.
