DAY 1
Welcome to your Europamundo Trip Style!!! The information about the meeting place and start time of your circuit can be found on your voucher.We leave Madrid and cross the Plateau to make our first stop in the city of TORO, a charming historical and monumental town located on An impressive natural promontory on the Douro River. Together with our guide we will have time to walk and visit its superb Collegiate Church (entrance included) which has one of the few porticos that still preserve their original polychromy. We will also enjoy a guided tour with wine tasting and traditional lunch in a winery in the Registered Designation of Origin of Toro (D.O de Toro).Entrance is included. We continue our route toward ZAMORA. We will have the afternoon to walk with our guide through its historic center and contemplate, its cathedral and Romanesque churches, its castle, its modernist architecture, its viewpoints and stables on the Douro river where, if weather conditions are suitable, we can take a walk in rowboat. Time to have dinner and taste the delicious gastronomy of Zamora. Accommodation.

ZAMORA 7ºC clear sky - ARRIEBES DEL DUERO - MIRANDA DE DUERO 3ºC scattered clouds - BRAGANZA - PUEBLA DE SANABRIA 6ºC few clouds
We leave Zamora to enter into the of ARRIBES DEL DUERO.It is an Hispano-Portuguese cross-border natural park that is defined by the rugged beauty of its granite landscape, its deep canyons and its varied flora and fauna. We will visit the impressive Requejo Bridge, where we will make a brief stop to photograph the stricking panoramic view over the Duero. We continue to Villadepera where we can visit the interior of an old tin mine *, pretending, among its galleries, a trip to the center of the Earth. (entrance included) Time to cross the border and head towards MIRANDA DO DOURO. The first thing we will do is enjoy an environmental cruise through the Douro where the fauna, flora and geology of the spectacular cliffs that we will contemplate during the journey will be explained (entrance included). After our boat trip, we will visit the monumental and vibrant historic center: its overwhelming cathedral, well preserved parks and gardens, multiple shops and excellent restaurants, where we will be able to enjoy their exquisite meat or cod typical of the region. From Miranda we continue to BRAGANÇA, capital of this beautiful Portuguese region called Trás-os-Montes. Its medieval citadel is one of the most valuable fortified complexes in the entire peninsula. Time to stroll among its romantic cobblestone streets with our guide. We continue our route visiting RIO DE ONOR / RIHONOR DE CASTILLA, a scenic place artificially divided by a border line that alow us to stand with one foot in each country. We finish the route stage in PUEBLA DE SANABRIA. Time for dinner and going for a night walk. Its magical beauty will charm us completly. Accommodation.

PUEBLA DE SANABRIA 6ºC few clouds - MADRID 8ºC few clouds
We leave the hotel to go to the nearby town of ROBLEDO where we will visit the Iberian Wolf Center "Felix Rodríguez de la Fuente", a superb bio-ecological experience that will allow us to observe a pack of wolves in semi free state and attend to the workshop of taking care and feed them. Then we return to Puebla de Sanabria. Its wonderful architecture, crafts and gastronomy will captivate us. Time to walk and have lunch. We are now heading towards LAKE SANABRIA, a place of legends and the largest glacial origin lake in all of Europe. We will be able to get to know its surroundings and if time permits, take a dip in one of its beaches. We continue our day heading to the nearby town of SAN MARTIN DE CASTAÑEDA. We will visit its Cistercian Monastery, (entrance included) an exquisite example of the Zamorano Romanesque. A few kilometers away we will reach the LAGUNA DE LOS PECES, also of glacial origin and from where we will enjoy the best views of Lake Sanabria since it is located at an altitude of 1725 m.
