One of the first things you notice about someone is their walk: posture, how the head hangs, how their hands move, their unique bounce or swing. These small movements tell us loads about a character’s role in the story. Here we have Andy’s vanilla walk; a basic walk cycle that is clean and simple, a base to build up on on the character’s personality.

I remember being present and in the moment, yet I felt like my mind went blank as I watched this illustration slowly come to life in my hands. As Michelangelo says, “Every block of stone has a statue inside it and it is the task of the sculptor to discover it.”
