Lydiascapes Travel

Lydiascapes Travel Every traveller has an amazing story to share. And this adventure blog is dedicated to you out there with that same aching desire to travel.

Have you lost your sense of adventure? This travel blog’s goal is to serve 1 purpose - to inspire you to go out there and explore. Stop listening to the voice telling you:..you don’t have time..you don’t have someone to travel with..you don’t have the money. Coz travelling is not meant to be a just a holiday, its a multitude of life lessons. A learning journey that teaches you more than 16 y

ears of sitting in a classroom. So put on your walking shoes, throw aside your phone for a few hours and immerse in the beauty of the great outdoors, the sights in a new city, the everyday chatter of people in a language you don’t know. Be amazed by your new discoveries, yet humbled by what you did not know. Slowly and surely, you will see your perspective change. Your stereotypes removed, your mind opens up and the world no longer becomes a foreign daunting place, but full of adventures and new experiences. And during that quest, should you feel a little daunted, a little lost and made a mistake here and there ....
That’s okay. Coz that’s what living is about. So put aside your ‘but-s’ and ‘if-s’ & join me on my adventures today. Favourite Quote

Bid farewell to a dear friend and sister in Christ who was a big part of my life here in Phnom Penh this year. We saw each other almost twice a week and shared so much of each other's lives thru our gym sessions, church and freezing cold plunges at 8 degrees in a 38 degrees Cambodia.
Am so grateful that we had these precious moments and I will remember and hold them tightly. Take care dear Laerke. Thank you for regarding me, a transient friend, worth investing in.
See you again on the island you promised to bring me to, where we will once again be..whisk away from the troubles of the world, even if its just for a little while.
Till we meet again!

Here…

If only I could go back and tell my younger self a few things… but since I can’t, here’s your reminder today:

1️⃣ If you have a passion, pursue it. Not everyone gets the chance to do what they love. Don’t wait—start now.

2️⃣ You have the potential, use it. Surround yourself with people who lift you up. Keep climbing, keep creating, keep going.

3️⃣ YOLO—Yes, it’s old-fashioned, but true. Life is meant to be lived fully. Don’t hold back.

What advice do you wish someone had told you when you were younger? Drop it in the comments! ⬇️

Hey, I’m Lydia! If we haven’t met yet—nice to e-meet you! 😃

The outdoors isn’t just a place; it’s a reminder to slow down, challenge yourself, and embrace the unknown. It’s easy to get caught up in the ‘busy’ of life—but have you ever paused to ask yourself: When was the last time I did something that scared me?

This is your reminder to take that break, step outside, and reconnect with yourself. 🌿✨

Fear & joy can exist together. 🧗‍♀️

Fear doesn’t always mean STOP. Sometimes it’s an invitation- to challenge, to grow, to prove to yourself that you are more capable than you think.

You don’t have to be fearless to take the next step. You just have to be willing.

What’s something you do despite the fear?

✨Here’s to the women who pack their bags, chase their dreams, and refuse to stay in their comfort zones. To the ones who take the first step, even when fear whispers ‘you can’t.’

Because we can. And we will.

In the chaos of our everyday life, escaping into nature is like hitting a reset button for your mind and soul. Here’s how it restores and heals:

Here’s how it restores and heals:

1️⃣ It calms your mind: The gentle rustle of leaves and flowing water slows racing thoughts.

2️⃣ It heals your heart: Green spaces help release stress and ease emotional weight.

3️⃣ It shifts your perspective: Standing amidst vast landscapes reminds us of life’s bigger picture.

4️⃣ It sparks joy in simplicity: The sound of birds, the feel of grass underfoot, and sunlight on your face—it’s all we need in that moment.
