The early rains have arrived on the Tonle Sap, bringing a welcome break from the heat and setting a serene backdrop for our annual fleet overhaul. With the tourism season naturally quiet right now across Siem Reap and Cambodia, our dedicated crew is keeping busy—pouring their heart, soul, and hard work into ensuring every single boat is in tip-top shape. While our maintenance program moves ahead beautifully, our thoughts and prayers are heavily with one of our captains who is currently very sick. The Tara family stands united, wishing him a speedy and full recovery as we prepare our fleet for the waters ahead.

The maintenance marathon on the Queen Tara continues, and we have some exciting updates from the water! This week, our team has been working hard to keep the "Mothership" in top shape while also taking some time to explore the beautiful Sangkae River.

In Captain’s Log #18, we cover:

The Big Strip & Paint: We are deep into our yearly maintenance, focusing on painting the hull, decks, and handrails to ensure everything is marine-grade and ready for guests.

Custom Craftsmanship: We’re hand-making new window frames for a perfect, watertight fit.

Battambang Expedition: We took a private cruise and land tour from Siem Reap to Battambang on our specialized fiberglass boats.
