🚨✈️ Korea Airlines Cut Flights as Soaring Oil Prices Hit Hard — What Travelers Need to Know?

Air travel is entering a turbulent phase — and it’s not just about rising ticket prices anymore. Flight cancellations are now part of the picture.

As global oil prices continue to surge, major carriers like Korean Air are under growing pressure. Fuel already accounted for 28% of its total spending last year, and costs are expected to climb even higher in 2026.

A $1 increase per barrel adds about $30.5 million in extra costs. That’s forcing airlines to make tough decisions — including reducing routes and canceling flights.
