2012 Jinju Namgang Yudeung - Lantern Festival Korea

October is coming and Kyungnam Jinju City will become bustling by the atmosphere of South Korea’s representative festival(한국대표축제) – Jinju Namgang Yudeung festival(진주남강유등축제) 2012 with the slogan ‘Water, Fire, Light and Our Wishes’. This is Chokseok Nu. 100 lanterns of Korea and foreign countries were set up. The riverside of Namgang River is full of colorful floating lanterns. 2200 lanterns are dec

orated all over Jinju Castle and Namgang to bring Jinju a very splendid, sparkling and mysterious autumn night atmosphere. This year the festival will have 1200 decorated lanterns more compared to the 800 lanterns last year. Every night, the special performance at Namgang river is the ‘floating lanterns music performance’

Tickets for the main performance will be sold to help independently finance the festival.
